Same guy says Robinho has been told he can leave. Not saying he's wrong or right, just pointing that out.

Valencia and City agree Silva

Signed for four years. The Spanish club denies.

Since some of the media in England stated yesterday that Valencia and Manchester City had reached an agreement for the transfer of Silva for 35 million euros. The player signed for four seasons canary with a ten million annual tab.

Javier Gomez, vice president of Valencia, denied that his club has reached agreement with Manchester City or any other club to transfer to the Spanish international, while acknowledging that the player is free to negotiate with other clubs.

Gomez, who along with coach Unai Emery, visited yesterday the premises of the Valencia Street Circuit which will host this weekend's European Grand Prix Formula One, said that there is interest in soccer by the City, but insisted that no no agreement has been reached for 35 million euros.

"It is true that there is interest in the player but we have not closed any agreement with any club. The player can negotiate their future, but Valencia has not negotiated or talked to any teams of conditions, numbers or transfers," said Gomez. Emery, meanwhile, said that "if a player is important, it can be an entry."

The transfer of Santa Cruz

In the march of Silva to Manchester City on Valencia striker might find you are looking to strengthen their attack after the arrival of Soldier. Santa Cruz's name is on the table for days and how they like the house enough the possibility that the Paraguayan arrived Mestalla transferred to a season. At 28, the tip of City is the World Cup with your choice and two summers ago, the English paid almost 20 million in Santa Cruz at Blackburn, so now you do not sell cheap.

Valencia deny Manchester City deal for Silva

Valencia have rejected rumours that they have agreed a deal to sell David Silva to Manchester City .

Silva has been at Valencia for almost his entire career and has established himself as one of Spain's top players. In 2009/2010, the 24-year-old scored nine goals and provided ten assists in 38 appearances for financially stricken Valencia. Silva has played over thirty matches for Spain and is currently on World Cup duty.

Valencia recently sold David Villa to Barcelona for £40million, but the cash-strapped club need to offload further stars and Silva is a valuable asset.

It was reported yesterday in sections of the UK media that Silva will sign a four-year deal at Manchester City worth around £160,000 a week and that the two clubs had agreed a fee.

However, Spanish daily AS quotes Valencia president Javier Gomez who says that "It is true that there is interest in the player but we have not closed any agreement with any club."

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini will be keen to add a player of Silva's quality to his squad in order to show the club's ambition, despite their failure to secure Champions League football for this season.

AS also speculates that if a deal does happen for Silva, that Manchester City 's Paraguayan striker Roque Santa Cruz could move in the opposite direction. Santa Cruz arrived at Eastlands from Blackburn Rovers last summer but endured a disappointing season.

little confused

Read the words carefully. They have not closed any agreement. This could simply mean that the deal has not been completed and that there are still negotiations (with the player and then a set-in-stone fee) ongoing within this deal.

They could have said that there was unofficial enquiries in the player but no negotiations or formal bid whatsoever, but they didn't. I think the wording is important in what they have said.

Still means that the reports that we signed Silva on a 4 year deal or agreed a fee with Valencia for him are bollocks.
