David Silva signs one year contract extension(p33)

Still the glue who holds the whole thing together. Still the most important member of our team, as last night showed yet again.

Magnificent news. We have done so well to hold onto all of our stars since the takeover.

Dead right, and credit to City for carefully researching the type of players we get in, perhaps not so much in our initial splurge, but certainly in the years immediately leading up to Pep and thereafter. Great camaraderie, good ambassadors for the club, and not a cnut's haircut in sight. In short, a distinct absence of Billy Big Timers and an emphasis on those who just want to be part of something. Like Sergio, Spanish Dave has been a wet dream come true and my favourite ever City player. No strops, no demands for more money, no cheating, no dissent, no falling out of night clubs at 4am, no granny shagging, just plays the game brilliantly and with a smile on his face. What's also good is that anyone who bucks this trend now gets short shrift, as both Ya Ya and Jadon Sancho have found out.

Hart doesn't count, he was on loan for 2 years.

It does get messy as to what counts and what doesn't, yes. But he has been a City player for a decade. I guess when Kompany gets there he's not done 10 years worth strictly speaking.

Amazing news still my best player of all time and this in an age for our club that will go down as its greatest. To have him at our club for Ten years will seem unfair to the rest of the football world but feck them it's not like we are liked any more any way>:)

That's different and is a fine margin.

Joe actually left the club, loan or not
