I think a game v a Spain International XI would be very fitting. He could play a half for each.

I'm not an empty seat spotter, and genuinely couldn't care less if we sell out for meaningless CL dead rubbers or League Cup reserve games. But I'd be gutted if it wasn't a full house for Silva, and I don't think it would be.

Dead right. These were Marwood's "dossiers", and it's been very noticeable that since 2013 our players have barely been on the front pages.

Since 2010, I've had an ongoing discussion with City mates regarding Aguero and Silva, basically worrying that if Barca or Real Madrid came in, we would lose them. We didn't, and as you say, it speaks volumes for the club's hierarchy and the culture we have as an employer.

The club really does want a certain type of person in addition to their ball playing ability. Silva typifies that kind of guy perfectly and it's great news that he will continue to set his wonderful example both on and off the pitch for an additional year.

Not a chance in hell it would be a full house. We’re not that sort of fan base yet.
