Between him and Deigo Costa, few others would get honorable mention.

No, it has to be Mikel Arteta. Absolutely no question about that. Whatsoever.

Probably Costa but then Iniesta and Ramos still deserves a mention. I think Spain could do an Italy in 2010. They may rely on the old guys who are past their best and it could come back to haunt them. I would not be shocked to see them not make it out of the group.

I'm surprised that you have such a stupid opinion.

What's stupid about it? Only seen Costa in the big games, but he has scored enough and probably been Atletico's best player in pushing them close to league and CL double. As for Iniesta even in his bad years he is still pretty good. Scoring and getting the pen against Madrid, playing the ball to Messi at the Etihad and other big moments. Barca still might win the league. Though would only put Costa above Silva, I think the other two deserve a mention.

As for Spain what's so stupid about it? They have a very, very tough group. Spain's style means they are always susceptible to a poor result in early games. In the Euro's they almost went out in the group then. They are weaker this time. Iniesta, Alonso and Xavi have all declined. They have a tough group. Holland and Chile could get the result to knock them out in the group.

I said in a different thread that I believe one of Spain or Holland will fail to get out of the group as I think Chile will grab one of the qualification spots.

Chile along with Argentina are the two teams to watch in this World Cup in my opinion.

I hope the dutch fall flat on their faces!!!

Argentina have class throughout and have to be real contenders IMO

Argentina have so many top notch attacking playersit has almost forced them to field a very attacking team which in return is going to leave them defensively exposed.

For me, I reckon they will be the most exciting team to watch as they will be a you score two we score three type of team, whether that can win them the World Cup remains to be seen but now is the time Messi steps up for his country and becomes a player that can finally be put in the same bracket as Pele and Maradona.
