time to sort out that new contract - at the start of next season won't he be in the final year of his contract? As well as Yaya and Milner and one or two more I think?

Maybe you should read the whole thread.

Either that or the OS.

David Silva signed a new five-year contract a few weeks ago.

Dear God!

no I have been busy working daft hours, watching City, and bringing up 2 young boys so I rarely get on here these days and do not get the chance to read full threads very often. However I am immensely pleased to hear that he has signed a new contract, which you could of course have said without that smart arsed sanctimonious tone

-- Tue Nov 13, 2012 8:29 pm --

and while we are at it, where exactly on this thread does it say he signed a new contract? One other poster asked the question as to whether he had just signed one, there is no comment on here which says that he did sign one, Dear God!!!!!

Our most influential player in my opinion. Not because he can win games like Yaya, if he fancies it, but because without him our forwards play like strangers to each other.

Silva makes others play better because he makes himself available and plays the ball into dangerous positions. Nasri has a similar style but is nowhere near as effective as Silva either in linking with the defence or threatening in attack. Although I do hope David gets a new pair of shooting boots for Christmas.

If you're that busy, fair enough; I apologise.

A bit more ruthless in front of goal and he would be one of the top 5 players in the world I would think.

He's not the only one that needs new boots. Sergio needs to replace the slippers he's been wearing the last couple of games! Can't remember a player falling over so much since Mick Channon.

apology accepted, but maybe best not to slam someone in the first place for having missed something - it does happen (and also I particularly tend to stay off here after defeats and draws as it gets too dismal and depressing)

brilliant brilliant brilliant player, without him there is not the same link from midfield to attack. Would like to see him play with a true winger on the pitch threading balls to him...

I think he must have 360 degree vision to be able to shield the ball the way he does and see players around him for that clinical pass....
