I've just had a little look at the Silva thread on Ragcafe. Jeeeesus christ. I thought this forum housed some numpties. That place takes the biscuit.
They key points that i took away were....
Playing Silva is detrimental to the team and we'd be a much better side with James Milner in his place. Yes, somebody was actually going to great lengths to explain this point.
Silva isn't good enough for a team challenging at the top
Silva is a luxury player who unbalances us defensively
Silva is a luxury player who unbalances us going forward
Mancini is holding us back by playing 3 defensive midfielders
and probably my favourite....
Yaya Toure isn't capable of playing defense splitting passes.
I suppose that's what happens when you base your opinion on statistics and cliches. Silva is a fantastic player. He's easily our most important player. Without him, we really struggle to keep hold of the ball. A truly brilliant player.
