If you watch some of the videos of him on youtube, he actually reminds me of Ireland the way he runs and moves on the ball.

Not sure if anything on these lines have been posted but i thought id post anyway.

Ive read a few threads of people saying this guy is a left winger. I beg to differ, he is a much more central attacking player, similar of that to stevie Ireland. Im not too sure many people were aware as they seem to be comparing him to an Adam Johnson sort of player which he is not. Silva is not that quick, but is very skillful and able to create something out of nothing. So personally i feel he is going to fit the bill of being behind the front men, being our new playmaker. Just thought i would post this to people who arent particularly sure what sort of player Silva is :)

I've watched a lot of Valencia over the last five years in Primera Liga, Champs Lg and Europa. I've easily seen this lad, albeit on tele, about 25times! and he always has his best games in central attacking midfield - the position we had no player for the most part of last season!

i agree. he is the knid of player we really need. adebayor needs service from down the middle and we will score shit loads of goals. if we have bought silva to replace bellamy on the left then that completely defies the object and we will have the same problems as last season.

Similar to Robinho in the postitions he can play left of a front three or in the hole hind a lone striker or front 2. I'm sure he can play on the right aswel actually

Valencia uses 4-2-3-1 as their standard line-up. Silva plays central midfield, a very good passer.
