David Silva

Something I noticed about Silva's goal on Thursday.

(If you sky plussed the game you can check this out).

We get possession on our right hand side with the clock at about 6.00. Over the next 90 seconds we then string 25 passes together (I counted them) before Silva scored. (Jo stabbing Bridge's cross back to Silva was the 25th pass).

In that passage of play, only two Salzburg players touched the ball. One blocked a Tevez through ball, but the ball came back to Tevez and we kept possession. The other was the centre back who glanced Zaba's cross out to Bridge on the left hand side just before the goal itself.

I think that is a pretty impressive passage of play.

At the time, I thought if Arsenal or Chelsea had done that there would be a wankfest all over SSN. Then I thought, if the media aren't interested in how good we are, and are just interested in us when we lose at Sunderland ('all that money and they can't even beat Sunderland'), then frankly, fuck 'em.

This fella, Vinny and Nigel (imho) will be pivotal to City this year.
Brilliant!
On the downside , I m looking forward to the happyclappers near me telling all and sundry that he doesn t track back, can t tackle, doesn t score enough with his head and doesn t save enough penalties.
And he make s shit cups of tea.

He showed glimpses of what he's all about today, his football brain is excellent and he started a number of moves that led to goalscoring opportunity's for us. The great thing for City is that he's only going to get better.

A fantastic little player

that Barry goal against Liverpool was the same, 25 passes and a great final piece of play to put it in the net. If it was Arsenal everyone would be wanking themselves dry over it (like that Vela goal last week), but City? No chance
