For me he played very well today and showed why he was bought (other than opportunity) in the summer. I would actually give him a 'contributing' assist for Carlos' goal as well, as both Terry and Cole were worried about what he was doing (Terry looked like a chicken with no head on that run).

He will obviously not be used for every match but as I have been saying for some time I think he will only get better if he starts in match sides and is given that free role while bonding with Tevez, Milner, and AJ. I know about the defensive deficiencies inherent in this but I still think we could manage and benefit from AJ and Silva both being on against sides like WBA and Blackpool given how they will play against us.

I concur, will only get better , so much more of an all rouNd contribution compared to Stevie Ireland (and I loved SI)

I reckon he's put on half a stone since the summer.

we know he's a class act, great skills and vision, great movement, and very alert.

he showed today he's not scared to take up a defensive position and is very capable of knicking the ball back.

for a little guy was getting back and defending too, his best performace so far in a blue shit, more to come hopefully

gonna be a very big player for us this seaon. off the ball he is amazing, ala tevez goal. was watching his runs all day and he really will be something once he gets used to the league. not as lightweight as he looks either made a few good tackles today and scrapped well!
Very happy with this signing.

Won the ball more than he lost it so you can't complain about his defensive game. Did a very good job for me.

Yeah he is getting better every game, if we had two up top with him just behind he'd have a field day.

Hopefully we will see that once Balo is back.

Supported Tevez well, and his work rate was immense. He also kept Ashley Cole at bay, not allowing him to venture to high forward.

I'd like to seem him play centrally, perhaps right behind Tevez

He is a class act. And as has been said above, wait until we can unleash Balotelli infront of him!
