You can see now why we were in for Isco. I know football is a team game, but my god the difference when Merlin is not playing is astonishing. For all the talk about recruiting a quality centre half, we desperately needed an Isco type to back up Merlin. I know that Nasri is playing very well, but he is our only creative outlet without Silva.

Merlin gave an interview whilst visiting a Children's Hospital. All in his native tongue. Pablo needs to teach him a few lessons!!

The booking was the most dissapointing thing about today.

He clattered someone just before that too. It was almost like he wanted to get booked and have a rest. Still, he can play at Blackburn now after a nice rest! Will make up for having to watch Dzeko again!

He makes a lot of rash challenges hence the one game ban. I am in no way having a go at Merlin, it's just part of his game. Will be a huge miss at Swansea though.
