Ha ha I like it , u have a point about the Kingladze though , how the fuck any1 thinks/reckons Silva is better than him , is insane
Silva is better than Kinkladze.

At what , granted he works harder won't shoot , corners are garbage can't beat a man never mind half a team 1 plays with great players the other played with Scott Hiley , Immel , Symonds , Fronteck , Clough and fuckin Gerry Creaney
He will shoot, maybe not often enough but still, the fact he's scored goals for us tells us that he does. His corners have been poor in the main this year, but using that as a barometer of how good somebody is is as ridiculous as your posts on this subject. Kinkladze may have beaten players with his dribbling and when he was running at defenders it was a joy to watch - Silva beats men with his movement, the way he shapes himself when receiving the ball often takes out one or two players, he does this throughout games every single week, just because you're not seeing him take it round players doesn't mean he can't beat a man - he's just a bit smarter at it than most.
I enjoyed kinkladzes time at City, who wouldn't? He was a joy to watch when he was on song, which wasn't anywhere near as consistent as Silva, but when putting the two side by side there's no contest as to who has the most talent. Merlin all day everyday.

Colin Bell kept very much himself to himself
You mention Kompany, but I still believe him to be light years ahead

Search out a YouTube vid of him scoring a goal
Perhaps the scorcher at Stomford Bridge in the cup circa 71, he just puts his arms up, no histrionics
He played the game under the radar which is why, IMO, he is often overlooked

Watch the game when England destroyed the jocks in 75, Bell was stupendous

No histrionics - how very true. He didn't need to. Bell was the bollocks.

But, let's have it right - Stevie Gerrard single-handedly beat AC Milan to win the European Cup; loves his wife and kids; is a one-man club (surely he must have turned down endless opportunities to join Europe's elite - Barca, Juve, Madrid etc, etc, they were all knocking at the door - weren't they???) and if that isn't enough to convince anyone, take a look at his goal celebrations - sliding on his knees, nobody, and I mean, NOBODY, does it better. Gerrard. World class. No, really. Really? No.

The view also that he was vastly superior to Gerrard is one I definitely struggle to comprehend, if it were to be true, he would surely receive much more praise and recognition than he does and before anyone tries angling towards a media bias, it would take one hell of biased view to erase a player of that caliber from the memories of ex players, pundits, journalists and fans, for him to not be up in all the lists ranked alongside the likes of Moore, Charlton, Banks, Greaves, Matthews, Gascoigne, Keegan etc....it certainly leaves me, a fan of the younger generation with an awful lot to ponder when considering our greatest ever player.
Colin Bell is not my favourite City player and never will be.

However if you've never seen him play how can you be so disparaging of him towards Stephen Gerrard
imo he shits all over Gerrard
Oakie said he was 25% better than the starfish, i think he is far too generous towards Gerrard

Bell had it all, scored fifteen or more goals regularly from midfield, without penalties

he was a class above everyone in his day but didn't play for a 'glamour' club and so the media, just like today, easily ignored his greatness

Bell is probably the only player who could seamlessly fit into today's team, and then we would stroll the league

Bang on the money squirty.
Gerrard couldn't lace the boots of King Colin. Even in his prime Gerrard was simply nowhere near Bell on any level.

Using Gerrard as some sort of modern-day barometer for Bell is laughable. Gerrard - brilliant. At sliding on his knees. So's my 3 yr old daughter.

He maybe somethings ol' starfish but to deny his class is ignorant at best... he has carried that team for years and is one of the top 5 midfielders EVER to come out of England, without question.
