David Silva's Message on his Website

i was under the impression he wouldnt be playing in the euros as he needs an ankle operation, that hed put off for much of the 2nd half of the season. is he having it after the euros? does he not need an op? anyone know?

The little maestro is a fantastic footballer, I'm sure he'll become one of the best we've ever seen wearing the sky Blue shirt, he's almost there already ! To cope with the Premier League and some of the kickings he's had since coming to City shows he's got the balls to handle this competition. With his skills he's always going to be a marked man, targeted at certain times by unscrupulous players and opposition managers for rough treatment but make no mistake, he's tough as old boots. His work rate is fantastic, the lad never stops running, finding space where he can get the ball and hurt the opposition. If he has one small thing to add to his game it would be more goals. There were times last term when he could have scored but chose to pass when he was actually in a better position than team mates, add more goals and he's a very, very dangerous player to have in our team.

He has played in all 3 pre Euros friendlies...don't quote me on this but i think all 90 mins in each. He has been sublime especially last night when Iniesta came on. He is going to start on Sunday against Italy. Spanish players and the media are praising him to the hilt. Viva España y El Mago Canario

CHAMPIONS!!

Finally we have got the Premier League title after a crazy and unbelievable end of season. In the aggregate we got turn on the result and we became the new Champions of England. It has been a arduous job but finally, after 44 years, all the 'Citizens' can enjoy this historic victory. In only two years in Manchester I have been able to win the most prestigious titles in England: the FA Cup on 2011 and the Premier League on 2012. That's thanks everyone of my teammates and thanks of everybody who, day after day, is supporting us from his seat in Etihad Stadium or from his house. I feel very comfortable here from I arrived and nowadays I have just felt like a complete 'Citizen' man.

Thanks for everything, I hope next season we will get more cups and make a nice Eurocup with my National Team.

Women can be City fans too David, you sexist pig.

Wow, so glad he is staying, he is so so important. Last half of the season was so hectic I thought he might of done one, but where wud he go. Lets push on next season positivity is the key

I think next season he needs a break more often, as there is no question he looked dead on his feet for much of the second half of the season.

Top Man!

Lets hope that next season the ref's are quicker to notice the targetted ankle tapping he constantly receives.
