David Villa - The Incredibly Sexy Truth!!! (LOOK AT ME!!)

Im pretty sure over the past few months City have been cordially building relationships with major European football clubs, including Barca, I read Cook confirm this towards the end of the season.

The basis of this is that City would not get involved in "crazy bidding wars" on certain players. In return for this City would be afforded the luxury of not being over charged by these types of clubs when we come knocking for their players.

Can someone confirm this for me?

If so, how can £30m for Eto'o in the last year of his contract doesnt seem a realistic price to me, maybe around £5-10m to much!

Because Eto'o as it stands, if he had 3/4 years left on his contract would be a 50-60+ million player, and he is at the peak of his career. IM not saying were not paying a City "tax" at 30m. But i can understand why it is so high.

Dont forget with Eto'o you not just getting one of the worlds best strikers, your getting the african publicity and sales etc etc etc (which imo is priceless)

......Football Politics......

If bid(s) have been made and they deny it, it indicates:
- that they don't want a bidding war to drive up the price - illogical, since they're desperate for cash, thus why the Real deal collapsed.
- that they'd be happy to look like prats if a bid is accepted
- that they really don't want to sell him
- that no deal has already been agreed

This contradicts what Zimmer was saying

That is the only point I was trying to make.

Mate im not ITK but to think that these guys give a shit about being seen as liars or not doesnt wash.

Valencia are in the shit big time! They need to sell and they will sell Villa this summer.

makes sense to me

For what its worth i think that Villa wants to go to Barca and that Barca want him.

Barca cant afford him and they know we want Eto. They also know that we have bid for Villa and all that is happening here now is brinkmanship.

Official line is no bids. Exactly what the fans want to hear.

Valencia tell Barce they the offer isnt enough, you had better cough up or we will accept City's bid.

Barca cant up it unless they sell Eto to us.

All of a sudden, we get Eto, Barca get Villa and Valencia manage to keep the banks from forclosing on them.

Like i said its all a game that has been played out for years at he big table.

Its now our turn to play and guess what? We are the boys with the big bucks and a hell of a lot to say IMHO

Being big in africa is irrelevant because everyone is so poor

Keep your faith in the "project".......in the "project" all things are possible......the "project" has almost zen like qualities.

from TFM on ctymancs:

Well good evening all.
The representatives from Manchester City have arrived safely to Spain.
Well i am off to bed now as i anticipate a busy couple of days, and i need to make sure that i have a clear head to make sure that i represent my client to the best of my ability. With regards to David stating publicly that he will stay in Spain, well sometimes a player must say what he has too. Although privately the very opposite of a public statement is in fact the real outcome. I know that does not make much sense.

Anyway goodnight all, and rest assured that my day of justification is not far away now, and your day of basking in the limelight of have some very classy players being unveiled as Man City players is nigh.

Also, the representatives from Manchester City FC will be going to meet with Atletico in a couple of days also.

I may be a little , but please bear with me i will post what i can one way or another.

Cheers TFM

David Villa will still be in South Africa for the 3rd place play off this weekend, and thus won't be involved in any negotiations with any Club at that time.

"When I said I had taken a decision it was true, and this decision is that next season I will play in Spain because it is the league that is best for me.

"I will not go abroad."

From the man himself.

Enough of all this incoherent hysteric nonsense already, it's pathetic and incredibly embarrassing. Do you really think David Villa would come to us over Barcelona - the European Champions, who are currently the best side in the World who play the most fluid and entertaining football in the World?

Or Real Madrid, a Club who now have Kaka and Ronaldo within their ranks, and a Club who also reside in Spain, a country which Villa loves and doesn't wish to leave?

I don't care whether or not we're the only ones who can afford the man, if no one apart from us place a significant bid he'll just stay at Valencia - which is exactly what his agent said he'd do anyway;
"Valencia have changed their minds and they are telling us they don't want to sell the player, as everyone knows, having talked with three or four top clubs"

Some of you lot really need to stop taking every slightest unfounded rumour from someone who has little or no credibility as blessed gospel.

I suggest you all take a step back, attempt to think about it as neutrally and logically as you possibly can... and then let go of your sex-starved limp penises once you've realised that Father Christmas doesn't exist and the Tooth Fairy is actually an unemployed crack whore.

That is all.

Correct.
