Dayot Upamecano

They want Angelino, we want Upamecano. Looks simple to me...

To you and anybody else with intelligence it DOES look simple, however, Txiki IS Simple and he wouldn't understand logic or the sense in something like that, instead he will sell Angelino outright and then haggle and hassle for a £3m deduction all summer for Koulibaly and then ultimately either pay what Napoli wanted anyhow, or walk away and we are STILL looking for a Kompany replacement 24 months after he leaves.....how a dope like him ever got a job application approved by the Sheikh I will never know, he wouldn't be able to guess the direction of a lift, if he was given 3 guesses

you can’t be serious, if City just started throwing money around like candy I suppose Txiki would not even need to negotiate

reality is a little removed from Monopoly money

Thing is LesBleuMiserable, I am not saying throw money around like Candy, they go after a player, ask how much the other side want for them, they get a price, and offer the MOST we are willing to go to, if they say "no", we move on somewhere else, instead of dragging our heels for 2-3 weeks and get nowhere with the negotiations, and then either pay what they wanted originally, or back out, or lose out to United (as they go after everyone we do anyhow), and we have wasted all that time.

Garry Cook was good at the job, and understood it, the only think Txiki understands is Pep, he hasn't got a clue about the job and makes it up as he goes along, and his shambolic record over the 6-7 years is proof of that, very few of his deals have come good, many of them have been bad or horrendous though.

You, me, twitter adn everybody fucking else hasn't got a clue what is going on in the negotiations for Koulibaly. It is clear he is our number one target and Txiki is likely directed by Pep that he is the only one he wants so you don't just walk off and sign someone else for the sake of it. We are run better than that.

We have a price we want to pay, we believe Napoli will fold and then we will get what we want. Simples.

Cook was good at selling the project of the club and having free reign to offer what was needed to get the player.

Txiki has turned our academy into a money making machine, has been involved in strengthening the CFG across the globe and made us one of the best trophy winning clubs in the world in the last 6/7 years. Not every player will be a disaster and the only one I would say is Mangala because of the price and what we got out of him, I maintain that Mangala was a good player but just didn't settle in the team.

Back on topic, its clear we don't have any interest in Upamecano, that to me tells me that he isn't interested or RB aren't interested in selling until the release clause gives them no choice.

Don’t think he will ever come here think he is tapped up by Bayern next summer. I want him over anyone else but I can see why we want an older player but I still think there is a chance that we are in for him and maybe he even comes here not this summer but next. Next year we will defiantly be loosing Fernandinho that’s on top of I think loosing Otamendi this summer probably Stones next summer even tho I think he will be much better this year We will also be loosing Garcia this summer or next and you could argue we where a man down this ye see at CB after loosing Kompany I think there is a chance Tosin Sandler and Harwood Bellis have a role in the coming years but I suspect at least one will be sold and there will be loans for at least one of them. With a buy out of only 40 million next year he is well in our price range for even a back up player not that we would play him as that and not that he would accept that

Basically most people have seen koulibaly have a bad game against Barca and decided he is old and past it
Before that he was amazing
The same people have seen upamecano have one good game against Diego Costa and decided he’s the future

This kid is ready and the real deal already. RB want Angelino and we are not taking advantage of that. Stick a £40m+ Angelino bid in to RB for Upamecano and watch De Laurentiis squirm over Koulibaly because of trying to play king cock. Walk away and go for this kid instead imo.

How do you know we haven’t
Upamecano could well have been asked and he may say no thanks I fancy Bayern or elsewhere
I don’t fancy England
Who knows
