I have never seen Stones, either for us or Everton have a game that bad. Did you watch it? Continual miss placed passes, missed tackles, fumbling the ball into touch. No finesse and directly responsible for the goal.
Watched him several times this season and when we were linked. Said at the time I was not convinced. He has been poor every time.

IF we handle Laporte correctly we are fine at centre back
The Problem comes when we have 3 for top drawer players for two places
We can’t afford to upset any and be Mack to square one and need to buy a centre back
The most pressing position for me is centre forward I hope we get Haaland seems achievable this Summer but who knows

I started watching Leipzig when we were first linked with him and to say I was unimpressed would be putting it mildly. However, that performance last night was one of the most inept I have ever seen from a centre back at any level. Good luck Bayern

Upamecano was horrific last night for RB Leipzig.

Each and every time he was in possession of the ball, he would misplace passes with the slightest bit of pressure. Even when there wasn't pressure, it was never in front of a team mate, they had to check back to collect the ball. Positionally when they had the ball, he didn't put himself in the correct areas to receive the ball in the right passing lanes which allowed Liverpool to disposses a number of their players through the press.

He doesn't appear to have the required pace either. I don't get why there has been so many suitors after him, he appears to be off to Bayern as well, they must see something they can work with. Must be the Fifa 2021 PlayStation rating.

Bayern swallowed the hype. Totally overrated, this is why I am always wary of hyped players.

Ndombele was hyped as hell, turned out to be nothing special, certainly not worth the price Spurs paid.

Ndombele was hyped as hell, turned out to be nothing special, certainly not worth the price Spurs paid.

Ndombele is quality but a bit of a specialist who needs to be used in a specific way/system. He's shown quite a lot this season IMO. Upamecano does seem a bit overhyped but a handful of poor performances are probably not going to worry Bayern too much at his age.

He will be fine in the Bayern machine, he dominates 99.9% of players in the Bundesliga and still young enough to get better in a back 4 that will always be challenging in the CL.

You're not convinced that a man who has been established as one of the world's leading CBs for at least four years now is an upgrade on John Stones, who on average plays just 50% of league games a season and has never looked top quality for longer than a few months at a time?
