Other than Spurs at home, de Bruyne hasn’t been particularly good at all in December. I think he needs a game off whether he’s had a kick or not.

I agree, but he can change a game in an instant with his accurate passes and willingness to shoot on sight. Looks like he'll be rested tonight. We surely cannot chance risking him, and I doubt Pep will.

Part of the reason we've been so good is the way Silva controls the ball like a conductor but KDB is the lightening strike, the sudden brilliant pass, cross or shot. When Silva plays without KDB we can sometimes but pretty but toothless. Similarly if KDB plays without Silva we create chances but struggle to keep the same control on the game.

This is only a difficult decision if Silva is still unavailable. If Silva is back then no need to risk KDB at all.

First thing I said to my mate at the game when Puncheon was coming on was he's just on to rough us up last 15 mins , which he agreed, as puncheon is a dirty twat when he wants to be, and seems a bit of a bellend in general.


Anyway rest Kev get him nicely ready for Anfield, the silvas can do tge job next 2 games
