Agadoo doo doo push pineapple shake the tree
Agadoo doo doo push pineapple grind coffee
To the left to the right jump up and down and to the knees
Come and dance every night sing with a hula melody
Just joined in on the forum to let you know how to pronounce De Bruyne correctly (I'm flemish Belgian like him).
Problem is the [uy] sound doesn't exist in English, so it's actually impossible to write it phonetically in English.
Many people here seem to think it's De Broyne but that is German pronounciation. Kevin pronounces it like that in the Wolfsburg clip just because it's for the German fans.
Correct sound of [uy] is comparable with when you guys says "Err..." but then without the "r" in the end...
So "De Br[e(rr)]ne" probably comes pretty close. Give it a couple of tries!
Edit: De Bruyne would also pronounce his own name with a French R.
When City play Chelsea, to the tune of Wonderwall:
"Today is gonna be the day
that we're gonna throw it back to you.
By now you should've somehow
realized what we're gonna do:
Can you believe that Ginger Kev
tearing you apart?
Look at him now!"
Probably difficult to have a whole crowd singing that...
Remember this being suggested for De Jong and was disappointed it never took off. Think the gist of it was subbing in Nasri for "Ask me, ask, me, ask me..."
