De Bruyne injury - Back in Training (p89)

Fantastic argument

There is no argument mate.

You’ve made a daft statement. This city team consists of 11 equally important positions.

Guardiola is forensic in his detail and understanding regarding the full back position. The full back position in a Guardiola team is of extreme importance.

He goes as far as cutting the pitch into several zones and mini zones. Each position has important work to do within and external to his own zone. Including the full backs.

Hence Guardiola going out and getting fullbacks he needed / wanted and spending big to do so.

Are you the guy who posted about the Pellegrini announcement way back when?

If not then my question seems incredible random.

No mate . It was just a topic of conversation this morning between the 4 of us and that's what he told us six to eight weeks but another scan is due

Jeremy Cross anyone?

If the tabloid media are being positive, surely a good sign

Cos if they knew fuck all and were speculating they would put a negative spin on it to satisfy all the brain-dead rags and dippers who hang off every lie they print

To be honest, if it's a slight tear (a severe tear needs an op), I'd much rather see no rush to get him back early. Vital the knee's fully healed before he comes back. When I tore my knee cartilage and sprained my ligaments during a match 22 years ago, my surgeon told me that anyone who plays regular footy for years and years has micro tears in the cartilage and ligaments because of all the changes of direction at pace. All it takes is a bad twist and the cartilage or ligament rips on that existing tear - like a piece of paper that already has a nick in it.

Yup - exactly what happened to a friend of mine. Partial ACL tear which he was living with. Then playing footy and someone rammed straight into his knee - complete tear.

Saying all players/positions are equally important makes no sense. So Barcelona would miss Messi no more than other players in the team?

We need facepalm emojis on this site. It's beyond ridiculous some of the responses I'm getting.
