he is our backbone! What are you talking about?!
We're playing excellently with him too. He's played 3 of the last 5 and we averaged 4 goals per game in the 3 he played in.

Nothing going on, so lets guess the worse. He's looked off the pace the last few games so if Bobby says "you're not in the squad" that's fine with me

Micah wasn't on the bench against Villarreal nor Clichy against Wolves (league), are they leaving too? Bloody hell, we'll have no players left!

i hope's it's true

-- Mon Nov 07, 2011 10:22 pm --

did he?

World class DM's need more in their locker that gusto and stamina. They need to be able to pass a ball more than 10 yards. The reason we were labelled defensive last year was because there was not enough penetration through the middle.

The rat Kia has broken the camels back here.
I've never seen Xavi pass the ball further than 10yards. de Jong is massively underrated by Bluemoon. He's just not recovered from an injury properly yet, he limped off against Villa and Villarreal. He'll be back playing more regularly when he does recover fully. Also in his last three games City have scored 12 goals, hardly a hinderabce to our attacking play, our average for the season is 3.54 goals a game and in his last three we've averaged 4.

That comment is laughable i can only conclude you have only ever watched him play once

Indeed it is a laughable comment Dan. Xavi has it all.
Also I do not under-rate NDJ. I know he's in the top 3/4 of players at his job. He was pivotal to us last year and oozed winner in almost every game we played.
For us all, that took City up a level. We now need more fluidity in our midfiled to compete with the best. DM's who can play 95% of spider crab balls but just 5% of the time they need to be able to play over the top for Super Mario/ Aguero / pace threat to run onto. That threat has to be there against the big boys otherwise they push on and get the quick small triangles playing through your underbelly. Only Gaz Baz and Paddy could play this pass last year and it was mainly Paddy when he was on the park. Even Yaya struggles a little with accurate passing but he has the pace/power runs to his bow as well as the centre back/false 10 option that he plays very well with Mario. NDJ cannot be used as a utility man, he has one tune and one tune only.
