I think we could use a defensive midfielder who can do more than just tackle, ie, pass forwards and shoot on target.

He does pass forward when he plays for Holland, but then he has Van der Vaart, Sneider, Robben, Van Persie and Kuyt infront of him all running about at once and he has the confidence in them players to go on and do the shit!

At City he has a massive hole infront of him where no attacking players play, the wingers are too high and wide for him to link to and the full backs don't join the attacks enough to get the ball to the wingers from him!

De Jong is better than you think he is!

Why? I really like Lescott! Unless you mean as a LB? I'd prob go for an Evra ACole style rather than Jolean but still think he's a really good player and impressed me, espec after Christmas last season!

What's going on inside City? We have Barca and Real snapping up players left and right. Even that old miser Wenger bought Chamakh.

And City needs its own players to make public pleas to get people. Where is Boateng? I thought this guy was a done deal and dead silence. Van der Wiel looks like class, go get him. Lord knows we need help on defense. Too much silence compared to clubs who don't desperately need players.
