Is this guy any good?

He looked pretty much off the pace to me and a lot of the game seemed to pass him by. I also got the impression that he's not that comfortable in posession.

Maybe needs a few games?

good passer and won 90% of headers, another player who ran his socks off, imo he had a very very good game, best player after Given and Bellamy

I thought he had good game today and was very comfortable on the ball .

A real unsung hero, does nothing eye catching but doesn't put a foot wrong. Retains possession and uses the ball well, breaks up the opposition attacks and does all the nitty gritty stuff. Very much in the makelele mould.

Looked no more than average today. Doesn't look like 18M worth of talent but he is lacking in match fitness a great deal so I won't be judging him just yet. Scary thing that he isn't even 100% and is able to look average, wonder what he will do in about 3-4 games time. We'll see....

he was really good today, did all the dirty work for us today and linked defensive with attack started alot of are moves by breaking up play and remember its his 3rd game back for about 4 month
