I really have changed my opinion of him, he's gone from a good player who wasn't really better than what we have to a defensive midfielder with the potential to be the best in the world in that position.

I just hope his comments last season about us being a stepping stone wasn't true.

De Jong has been fantastic all season, and never gives up on anything. His tackles are hard, and fair. One of the best holding midfielders not only in the Premiership, but the world at the moment.
