if the chairman was serious about building a world-class club with an impeccable reputation then ndj has played his last game for city.half the world saw it live, the rest saw it in print,a tiny few turned a blind eye out of mistaken loyalty, but the reality is, the verdict of the rest of the planet will give the owners food for thought.Do we condone thuggish behaviour, can we start a player who will have every ref and lino watching his every move, opposing players drawing him into reckless challenges, the media given a new stick to beat us with,or do we offload and get someone with more to his game than just being an 'enforcer',someone who can pick a decent pass and chip in with a few goals. The answer will tell us a lot about the Sheik's intentions, and his vision of the brand image.

How will Barca feel about a cheat & diver staining the reputation of such a great club........oops sorry they all do it,i know your a wum but that brand image stuff takes a very special need for attention.

not the best video to prove a point m8 considering van thug stamped him first!

i,ll say one name keane, so why do every media tosser and sky think the sun shines out of his arse, he even bragged about ruining a a players career in a book and papers, but i didn,t here anyone saying united should get rid of him,if i was the city i,d give nigde a pay rise? one more thing i don,t think the media will need any excuses to beat us anyway,

I never knew we had such a strong female support, stick to netball girls.

Care to expand on that, bluejase?

Was implying that the people criticising de Jong are soft, Bluebird. It's football, tackles like that fly in everyday and with regard to de Jong's challenge you could tell straight away he didn't mean to do it and was regretful. No malicious attack on the female sex, Bluebird, I assure ya.

Right, so you didn't mean that to be a malicious attack on female football fans, just like De Jong didn't mean that 'tackle' to be malicious either? Lot of things happening that don't mean to be lately isn't there? Funny that.....

The kung fu kick does seem to be part of De Jong's game. Have noticed it several times for us, although it usually doesn't end up in someone's chest/throat. It seems to be his preferred method of dealing with a bouncing ball (not sure I can remember ever seeing him head a ball), and sometimes it's effective, but most of the times it just looks ungainly and uncontrolled. I don't think his tackle on Alonso was malicious, but it will definitely be remembered by officials and opposing players and fans and I suspect little leniency will be shown next season. De Jong is already a fairly limited player and I just hope he's not completely neutered by the attention he's drawn to himself. Can't see him starting too many games ahead of Barry and Yaya anyways.

Quick tip to bluejase; put down the shovel. The hole you're in is deep enough.
1. You have one of our female brethren (sisterhood?) after you. Your days are numbered.
2. ''Tackles like that fly in every day''? I haven't seen a tackle that high in a long, long time.
