Read the last few pages. So embarrassing. There are some people on here who clearly have nothing in their lives to worry about other than a player from Italy coming to play for a club in England. Get a grip! If he signs he signs, if he doesn't he doesn't. Life will go on.

Only this.

i suppose you didnt come here for an update then ?
An update yes, Just put my son to bed, sorted shit out and sat down with a glass of wine. Looked on here and pretty much laughed my head off.

laughed your head off at what ?
At the desperation. Some people really need something in their lives which means signing a player is neither here nor there.
Presume most of it is kids just before tucking into the Sunday Roast their mum made.

What's your question? Does he improve our chances in the CL? Errm yes.

Don't care about the rest and of the club are happy to pay then we shouldn't worry about it.

Thanks for the feedback though.

But you have no indication that the club are happy to do it though...

Will he improve the team probable, can we get other younger players for similar money who will also improve the team, yes.

no amature accountant needed, although the irony isnt lost on me... its a silly ammount of money, and yes we are being mugged off big time if we stump up the cash...

But of course what us amature accountants have worked out is that throwing silly money brings its own problems. If we are throwing that cash at a 29 yearold, whats Martinez worth to us ? who i would take all day at the same money.
If he signs for us at that amount then that will be THE indication about club being happy.

What irony hasn't been lost on you about amature [sic) accountants though?

Do you not understand the point that if the club decide to pay it, it doesn't affect you one iota?

The irony being we both post on the United IPO thread quite a lot...

No its not going to effect me one iota on a personal level. But on a club level you are asking for trouble on future dealings, much in the same way Liverpool have since overpaying.

Some so called ITK on talk sport has just said we are definately sniffing around Tiote.

Don Tiote? Fantastic player, although I believe he's got history.

I would think that if the club and Mancini go for him then, obviously he would improve the team. Just think people are going a little overboard. You inferred that it is the signing that would win us the champions league.

Maybe you are right but I do not think so. Although I would like to think you are.

Also, I dont think it is particularly mature when you "lol" at peoples considered opinions. That is just your style I guess.
When people can say why get him as we have Barry, de Jong, Milner and rodders, I feel I can laugh.

He's in a different league (as suggested by his fee for a start)

As for your opinion on 'my style' - I couldnt give two hoots pal.

You didnt "lol" at comparisons to our current midfield. You "lol"ed at somebodies considered opinion at the speculative financial arrangements that could surround this deal.

As I previously said, I have not seen enough of De Rossi to form a fully informed view of his abilities. By all accounts he would improve us. Your inferrence was that his addition could likely win us the champions league and therefore would make the investment a good thing.

I am not so sure.

No chance!! 2 players including Yaya off to ACON. That would be a very poor move!!

I remember people were on here all night tracking Aguero's flight to Manchester before he signed.

How sad can you get?

Don't they have a family to spend time with?

If this was SAD CAFE we would be pissing ourselves.(they probably are)

FFS, will some of you get a grip. Signing Rossi isn't a matter of life or death.

There you go I've typed it.

Yes we do but I am professional one fella.

I don't think we would be overpaying for him though. All opinion I guess.

Pablo Daniel Osvaldo, Michael Bradley and Mattia Destro scored in Roma’s win over Aris Salonika, but all eyes were on Manchester City target Daniele De Rossi at the Olimpico.

The last couple of days were dominated by talk of a Manchester City offer for the ‘Future Captain,’ so the 40,000 fans chanted his name and unveiled a banner that read: ‘Hands off De Rossi!’

The midfielder was introduced to the crowd with the speaker’s words: “He chose Roma for life. Our most important signing – Daniele De Rossi.”
