Dead Ball Specialist

Kolarov £10M to Juve. Quick move for Baines. KIll 2 birds with one stone by hacking off all the RAGs too.

That's a pretty decent shout......as much as I would love it to happen.....I think he's nailed on for the dark side

We have one in Kolarov although everyone seems intent on getting rid of him...

Silva's corners are decent and now we look like we'll usually be playing a big striker to exploit them. Richards being back will also add a few goals a season from corners.
Kolarov's attempts are nowhere near consistent enough for him to be considered a specialist.

I disagree. Compared to other players considered specialists, Kolarov scores a big percentage of the free kicks he shoots from. He's not the best at crossing a dead ball and I think we need to improve our decision making as to whether we shoot or put the ball in the box from dead balls.

I think this is one area where we are weaker compared to our rivals. Scoring from dead ball situations is so important to a team with ambitions, especially against teams that park the bus!

A Urologist.

There's a cracker in there somewhere about a urologist scoring in a parked bus with a dead ball.

It needs work, but should be good in the end.

This is true. As much as I am not a fan of Kolarov in defense he actually has a fairly high opportunity conversion rate compared to some that many would classify as the best in the world. If you don't believe me look at Ronaldo and Cavani.

That said, I do think Fernandinho, Yaya, and Jovetic will take up that mantle this season.

Navas delivery looked superb in Munich.

He'd be an option for me on one side, Silva on the other.
