Bayern are desperate to bring the fee down, we shouldn't let their doctors anywhere near him. They are going to try and use Delboy tactics on us: "This player is crocked mate... Tell you what though, we'll give you £50m to take him off your hands, since we like you."
Why would we let their doctors near him? There's no deal in place or have I missed something?

Unless he’s for sale - at a price set by us - why on earth would their docs have any right to see him.

This is all supposition

Contradiction??? If there’s no deal in place - there’s nothing to “subject to a medical”
Yeah but don't you do a deal then let them do the medical? Bit odd to do it the other way round.
As I understand it, there would be an initial agreement if they go in for him now. I never said they have done that yet and I think you've glossed over what was a clearly sarcastic tone in my post.

For arguments sake though, they could agree a higher price with us, do the medical... then come back to us and state he will take longer to recover than we think he will and then try to re-negotiate the fee. The deal is not done until it's signed by all parties... neither of you seem to understand that the medical always comes before that. So a "deal done - subject to a medical" is not actually done. The correct term would be: "the terms of a deal have been agreed on all sides" but that doesn't sound good enough for the papers. It wouldn't make sense to do it the other way around.

''A deal's been done, subject to a medical.''

These are the words we hear throughout the Premier League transfer window, when clubs have just a few weeks to buy and sell players to fine-tune their team.

The fees have been agreed and the personal terms have been sorted.

Now it's time for the final hurdle in negotiations - a player's medical examination.

Also I have been saying from the start, anything below £120m would be a joke and since they've said £137m, they should stick to that now.
