That return date will be wrong. It's said he's way ahead of schedule, or maybe that's me picking and choosing which version I want to believe?
Tricky one because Raheem's on fire on the left, but you're right, we've lost a TON of pace and it also helps hem teams back as they know if they commit, they've got Leroy and Sterling running through on goal.I can’t wait to have him back. We’re scoring goals still but we just don’t look like the same side without Leroy on the left wing. I suppose you don’t realise how important he is to us until he’s not there. We miss that outright pace on the counter attack and the balance of having a naturally left footed player on the left, having inverted wingers slows the game down too much sometimes for my liking.
Just hope the lad signs a new contract and stays but if he wants to leave let him go. As important as he is, no one is bigger than the team as a whole.
Sterling is doing exceptionally well on the left, in isolation. I absolutely love the lad, I genuinely wouldn’t swap him for any other player in world football (including Messi) but the balance of the team suffers in my opinion when he’s on the left. That’s obviously no detriment to Sterling, I just think we’re a better balanced team when he’s on the right and we have a left footed player on the left, whether that’s Sane, Bernardo or Mahrez.Tricky one because Raheem's on fire on the left, but you're right, we've lost a TON of pace and it also helps hem teams back as they know if they commit, they've got Leroy and Sterling running through on goal.
Really wish he'd sign the contract. Apart from Mbappe, there's no player I'd see as an upgrade to an outgoing Sane.
I think Jesus, Sane and Sterling could be part of an interchanging front 3.Sterling is doing exceptionally well on the left, in isolation. Inverting our wingers is a great option as long as it’s not the only option, it can be a huge threat to the opposition but it has to be used sparingly, only when we’ve identified a specific way of exploiting an opposition weakness.
Couldn’t agree more, to me that’s as good a front three as you could possibly want. I just hope we can keep Sane and get him back to 100%, if that’s possible with that injury.I think Jesus, Sane and Sterling could be part of an interchanging front 3.
Agreed.I think Jesus, Sane and Sterling could be part of an interchanging front 3.
