He's on 60k/week out of choice.

The club have been trying to give him a new deal since November 2017.

You can't turn down pay rises for 2 years and then say you're leaving because of your pay.

with long term knee injury there is no guarantees you can get back to full fitness and 100% mobile again, would you pay £100million and pay his wages when he is out and with more than half the season gone you be lucky to got any sort of game time in building him to full fitness, you wait to see his come back at city and then try again in the summer

We held all the aces before Leroy's unfortuante injury , but he is approaching the last 18 months of his contract and his value will slide with every coming month , we should utilise him for the rest of this season and if his heart isnt at the club we should get every last cent from the German Rags , the injury cost Leroy 6 months of his career , but its cost our club £50m , because Rummengige will want a £50-60m bargain in the summer. Florentino Perez is known for being quite generous with his transfer fees to ensure that good relationships are maintained with other clubs. He gave us 20m for Brahim when his contract was 6 months from expiration. Bayern's board is known for..... well..... the opposite.

Unfortunately I suspect that Sane’s camp and the Evil German Rags are working together to move Sane to Bayern for as low a fee as possible on the basis that the lower the fee the better terms the player receives. Our hope is to get Bayern into a bidding war but privately I think Sane only wants Bayern so we are in a catch 22 and have an asset that’s unlikely to sign a new deal, he’s almost certainly been seduced by Bayern (and knows he’ll be getting great terms), Joachim Low has clearly been chipping in and encouraging Sane to return to Germany and Sane is certainly going to use the rest of the season to prove his fitness before moving on in the summer. We’ll be lucky to get £70m. The Bundesliga is a funny place and Bayern bully and manipulate almost everyone - we need to think twice before bringing in players from that league in future because Bayern clearly have an ability to click their fingers and pretty much the whole of Germany supports them taking the best talent. Very few German clubs seem able to protect their best players from Bayern’s clutches. The way they have gone about taking Sane from us is their usual arrogant and underhand modus operandi - it’s like the Rags under Ferguson only 10 times worse.
