But I do not know who translated that twitter message. The correct version is:

“When I think of how we’ve successfully extended Manuel Neuer, we have with Joshua Kimmich, Niklas Süle, and hopefully David Alaba, Thiago, and I hope also Leroy Sané, a young team capable of developing further. I can well imagine, if everything turns out optimally, that a new era at Bayern Munich is beginning.”

The source of it is a BR1 (Bayern radio) interview with him. https://www.br.de/nachrichten/sport...rtitel-und-die-verpflichtung-von-sane,S0UGyRn

The 2 minute interview was about the whole situation of the club and football right now.

It should not really be a surprise anymore that Bayern wants to buy Sane and that the two clubs are in contact with each other about a transfer. And Hoeneß just hopes on the transfer.

Hypothetical -

Txiki "I hope in the next season Alaba and Kimmich slot in to our youthful Man City squad"

Maldeika/rest of Bayern fans "he can't say that, he can't talk about another teams player, how dare he disrespect the German Rags, how dare any team try to buy our players, Pep won't go to your team, Kevin De Bruyne won't go to your team"...

Need I go on? Your boring club are like the arsehole of European football, supported by egotistical 'fans', run by egotistical wankers that just bully other teams to get their own way and piss and whinge to Uefa when anything upsets your applecart. Bore off.

Hoeness is the reason why I would rather lose any of millions left for what we can sell Sane and let him rot in reserves for another year. Don't think Sane is in wrong, he is within his rights to do what he thinks t's best for him, but sorry Leroy, you'd pay the price for your new employers too. Let's see that new young face of you as their new player after 2 and half years of not playing football.

This is exactly what it is. Bayern have been so deplorable in this entire saga that after a while the anger and blame started shifting to Sane like few posters have commented. Your new employers are just despicable. We would feel okay if Sane wanted to go to some other club and he wouldn't have tied our hands like this. He will go to Bayern and will get his way, Bayern too. But City needs to look at all of this and take a hard stance. This looks bad for us.

For me Sane is an accomplice in all of this. But that's just one man's opinion.
And please let the transfer happen in the first day of the transfer window and we can get away with this nightmare

Also owned by Allianz and adidas amongst others who pay them huge sponsorship deals (so basically paying themselves) and a free stadium (which is stunning in fairness) and tax dodging directors running the club yet mansour and khaldoon are the big bad men ruining football?!

From the moment he didn't choose to sign the contract left on the table after his injury he was leaving us.
Just about doing what's best for City after that.

Obv we should try and play hardball and maybe in normal times get a player swap we like as they've loads of good players in their squad. But dunno if many players would choose to live in UK over Germany at mo so the €50M seems best we can do.
Shit happens, player power ultimately

As much as I’d like to see us tell Bayern to go fuck themselves, it’s not going to happen. We’ve already missed out on approx €100m, so there’s no way we’ll let him run down his contract. We’ll do a deal with Bayern for about €50m with add-ons I reckon.

Sane feels like a bad smell at this point. Just needs removing as soon as possible. I'm fairly certain there's almost no chance he plays any minutes if Project Restart gets off the ground. Sell and move on so we no longer have to listen to Bayern or their mouth pieces talking about their new favourite son. And hopefully it'll remove that Christian Falk dickhead from stories about us as well.

Bayern clearly have never recovered from the ignominy of Pep joining us after the Kaiser and his boys spent so long talking shit about our owners. Personally I think the best thing that can happen to the two clubs is to face each other in the CL knock out stages at some point.

There you go again. I guess this is not the first time some ex Bayern player has made this comment about his mentality and issues.
Still the guy wanna go to this club and leave the club that has supported him all throughout his injury.
It is his call still baffles me to no extent.

Would love a tie against Bayern (once fans are allowed back in), reckon it would be a pretty feisty affair.

Apropos nothing in particular. LIAN Sports also represent Koulibaly. Duncan had that story that we want him. Can I put 2 + 2 together and get a number that suits me?

I am totally convinced that was a bit of a stopgap for Pep also.

No 93.20 and Pep would have rocked up at City before his sabbatical.

Just realised they're still in the CL. IF the tournament goes ahead in August and we get past Madrid ... what price on getting Bayern. Imagine Pep putting Leroy in the squad. Hahaha. It'll never happen but it'd be pretty funny.
