Let's not slag off the kid,we achieved a lot and he was a big part of it

He has chance to be a big name in his own county

Also don't underestimate the pressure he is getting from Lowe to get into the team for the euro's

Biggest mistake we have made in years losing him
Don't see how it's a mistake, entirely his choice.

He's a German international going to the 8 times on the bounce German champions to play with some of his best friends. He's been offered three different deals from City. Absolutely nothing else the club can do. But yes sure, it's a mistake on the club's part for not being based in Munich.

He can sign a pre-contract with another club in January if I’m not mistaken. Try and get £50 million for him if we can in the summer and move on.

That might suit Bayern but there’s surely no chance Sane will be happy with that. He’s spent the back end of last season on the periphery barely playing, not played at all this season, if he went down that route he’d be frozen out instantly next season, there’s no way he’s going to spend two and a half seasons not playing, Bayern would have to promise him more than they’d pay in any transfer fee for him to even remotely entertain that idea and even then it doesn’t send out the right signals about how much they want him if they’re asking for that.

As I mentioned earlier his real value now is more as a bargaining chip than any fee we can get. Let’s hit Bayern back and publicly tap up some of their players to show any other clubs considering unsettling our players that we won’t play nicely if you do. Alaba seems the obvious target given he’s in a similar contractual situation to Sane.

The mistake, if there was one, was not selling him early last summer when it was already obvious that he wasn't going to sign a new contract.

I don't even hold it against him for wanting to leave, everyone gets a say where they want to be in life, but in that situation you move on and find the next extremely exciting player who does want to be here. It's not 1999 anymore.

It’s a massive shame he’s going but that’s football. I completely agree with everyone who says he shouldn’t be a part of the squad anymore though 100%. He’s not committed anymore and taking a space of someone who is. Promote Braaf or use Foden as a left winger more.

Young(ish) German lad with young family, wants to go home, pressured by close family, anyone who is anyone in German football, snide veiled comments about international career. Not sure he ever really bought into being here longterm, unlike Vinny, Spanish Dave and Kun, and it'll be sad to see him go cos I reckon he's got absolutely everything in his locker to be a worldbeater, but let's be gracious about him going, wish him the best(fuck Bayern though), we're better than that(sterling treatment by the cult), hopefully replace with quality and win the f#*kin lot.
