I wish Leroy well but the whole thing does leave a slightly sour taste? He’s a top player no doubt but possibly lacks the mentality to make it to the very top where his natural talent should take him. It could be family pressure taking him home as well though and hopefully we can get £50m for him and go out and get Sancho back .

If we can't get a decent price for Sane we may as well keep him for next season and play him. If Bayern only offer say £30m then we would get more value with him in the squad for 12 more months. I don't think Sane would take his ball home if this happened because he needs to play to get in the German squad for the Euros.
Another good reason to keep him is it would make life difficult for Bayern...one of our biggest enemies in football. They have tried to de-stabilise us for years. It would be worth £30m just to fuck them up. We probably should have sold Sane last summer for a good price but now we need a different strategy.

I agree, 100% with this

Yes imagine if Leroy came off the bench to score the winning goal in the CL for us. We should certainly keep him for now. He can leave later with our fans' blessing and leave a legacy. Remember we have supported him through injury for 12 months. If Bayern can't stump up now they will have to wait.

Yep we should've. On the one hand the club and Pep and fans say players who don't want to stay are free to leave, but last summer the club didn't strictly follow that route. We demanded what 137m? and to me it was too far above market value. IMO Bayern would have paid just below 100m and yes it was not easy to find a proper replacement - but we didn't follow our philosophy which is always risky.

Playing Leroy instead of Jesus in the shield was nonsense and far too risky. I still can't believe we did that. What a nogo on the financial risk level.

Anyway, it happenend.
For now, I think Bayern need and want Leroy now instead of next summer given their winger situation. IMO Leroy's market prize after injury would be still around 80m € and Bayern have to pay >60m € certainly. Indeed Leroy can't risk another unwanted year here and Bayern can't risk to let another club step in the race.

Ok so the ball's in Bayern's court. I am sure City would sell for £60m but i would still keep Sane till the end of the CL.

The cheats tag will remain even if we are cleared along with the losers tag, from before takeover, the Emtihad tag, the no history tag, the, only come for the money tag the dirty oil money tag. They will all be with us while we have a press, other than Martin Samuels, who will not report the truth of FFP. The truth that FFP is a tool designed and implemented by powerful clubs within UEFA with the express purpose of stopping City. We have to ignore the jibes and support the club 100%. We will come through this. Always look on the bright side of life. Maybe someone can post Monty Python for me.
Edit.
If the ban stays City will, in my opinion, move on to a higher court as they seem determined to prove their innocence with the evidence they have. The appeal has not been lost yet.

true the fight vs being the number 1 hated club because of the money will go on and on
i fear the elite in this case and the power they could have over something out of the football hands of CAS and if city lose this case the elite would be unstoppable and no mount money could challenge them that's the fear

city on the home front are unstoppable and the premier league and cups are good enough for me. but the owners want more and european football is number 1 target each season. do we bite the hand on the devil and take a lesser punishment and say ok we will play ball

right back to sane ? munich should be done for tapping up. its clear they got to sane and this was over 12 months ago and he had more than 2 years left on his contract. plus publicly they have said they want him and that is wrong so city should take action

I'm sure working with the greatest coach in the multiverse that he would soon learn how to tackle and barge people into the anfield terraces. Flanagan and Gomez would help out with coaching him on how to put Sterling into orbit

Hey, come on, RB, there hasn't been a tackle at Anfield since the massacre at Spion Kop that hasn't been textbook, coaching book manual, clean as a whistle, pure as driven snow - unlike their welcome for opposition coaches.
