I wonder whether he has attitude issue.
First Low and now maybe Pep, Sane has the potential to be the world's best that's what annoys me on this.
Pep has never mentioned anything about an attitude issue.

A much better chance of winning the CL with City than Bayern?

Are you sure? Bayern have 5 wins, 5 runners up and 19 semi finals places. City have 1 semi final place to show for a decade of trying.

It's a hard competition to win if you haven't done it before. Look how long it took Juve and Barca to break their duck. Look at PSG's laughable record.

That's not taking into account possible sanctions FIFA and UEFA may or may not impose.

As long as there is FFP I'm not even sure there is much of a financial gap.

Brexit also adds an element of uncertainty for all EPL clubs. That starts with the plummeting pound. A player who went to England 3 years ago because his wage packet there was worth €100,000 a week is now taking home "just" €80,000.

I don't know if Man City and PSG will still be big players in Europe in 5 years time. Man City look to be better placed ,but who can say for definite?

Bayern on the other hand will definitely still be a big player in 5, 10 and 20 years time. Ditto the 2 Spanish clubs andJuve.

I'll stand by my point. Leroy does have a better chance of winning the Champions League at City than at Bayern. Obviously Bayern's history is full of European success, but that doesn't really stand up in regards to the next 5/10 years. It would be similar to saying that AC Milan, AJAX, Inter, United, Porto, Benfica, Hamburg, Forrest and Celtic all have a better chance than us because they've done it before.

Most of Bayern's key players who you'd associate with their success over the past decade have or will retire soon. The Bundesliga isn't as strong as it was when they won the UCL. Out of their 4 teams in the UCL, one finished bottom of the group, the other 3 were knocked out in the round of 16 by 3 English teams with a combined aggregate score of 17 v 3. If that doesn't show you the clear superiority of English teams over German teams (currently) then you're deluded. Now I'd argue that City are the best team in England and probably will continue to be until Pep leaves. Sane is 23 years old. he's easily got a decade of football ahead of him. If he wants to win big ears, his best bet is to stay at City whilst Pep is here and then to consider his future at that point (when he's around 27/28 and in his prime).

I think it's incredibly naïve to question whether City will be a big player in 5 years. Whether the sky 4 like it or not, we're here to stay. PSG have nothing to do with us, they're a club with close to 100 years less history than City, they haven't historically had the fanbase we've had and they're playing in a farmers league.

I get what your saying, they were only formed in the 70s, but I hate the 'less history' phrase. They play in a crap league but they can't do anything about that, they will be European elite too if their ambition stays as it is

The less history phrase isn't a rag-like dig. It's factual. Before PSG were formed we were winning trophies in Europe. Before they were formed we were breaking attendance records in England. Before PSG were formed we had Bert Trautmann, we had Wilf Wild, we had Joe Mercer. We leant our home to our neighbours and gave them our shirts to play in. We had Peter Doherty, Billy Meredith, Colin Bell, Frank Swift, Howard Kendall, Matt Busby & Don Revie. Our supporters club has 21 years more history than them!

It's a pointless comparison, comparing us to PSG. We're completely different clubs. The only similarity is the shade of our owners skin.

I don't think the OP was comparing us historically, you've jumped to that yourself. Our ambition is the same, to win the european cup. The fact they weren't alive before the 70's has no impact on the liklihood of them being an elite club now or in 5 years.

PS cheers for the historical players list, I wasn't aware
