I also don't get the 'we have to sell him if he won't sign, or we lose 80 million' theory.

We decide to keep him & he doesn't sign, we get one or two more years of use, from a top player.

What we 'lose' is the ability to 'make' money out of him, or get our original transfer fee back.

If Harry Maguire was 50 mil rather than 80, many would say 'sign him up'. He would be on more money in wages, than Leroy Sane.

How much money would we be looking to get for Maguire in 4 years time ? We would sign him, to play, not as a money making exercise or to try & break even on the deal.

How much will we make on Mahrez ?

-£59 million

I've snooped around in the Bayern end of things and it's funny just how many of them are also peddling the "shit or get off the pot" line. It's more than a bit blinkered from both sides when you're dismissing the fact that he's got to think about his missus, his kid and the rest of his family. That's before you even get into the financials or the football side of things.

The cult mentality of either "fuck him, he should be honoured to be our new no.7" or "fuck him, he should have signed a new contract by now" feels like a defence mechanism.

Whether he stays or goes, he's a top lad in my book and deserves a bit more respect and understanding than he's been getting. Fuck Bayern though.

I don’t know what is going on but it’s now dragged on too long without any resolution. I do fear he wants to leave because of the playing time issue
a) Raheem now seems to play in his position a lot and even Mahrez has
b) he’s hardly started any big games after the New Year bar the odd one
c) there’s little point having a top class squad if Pep doesn’t use them more

It’s too long because the club’s position becomes more difficult if he does not sign as a transfer ban may be incoming, we need to replace Sergio and also then possibly Leroy.
Don’t know if the club would let him carry on for a year or more and then sell - personally I would if we get more of him and win trophies. It would be worth it in my view

They are also forgetting the fact, that Bayern would have to PAY for him.

If he asks to leave, City are not about to say "Sure, off you go to Bayern".

They will say " Ok we'll notify clubs you are available ".

He had a dip in form last season, but he's only 25 and under Pep in this team he will be a 20+ goal striker.

Dybala needs to learn to stay on his feet - dives around like a right tart - really don’t like that part of his game. I know he’s relatively young but he’s incredibly inconsistent - you don’t pay top dollar for someone who turns up once in three games.

Could get a bit awkward though because Sane could take the stance that he only wants Bayern and they then low ball with a €50m bid. And we watch the clock tick down with Bayern lowering their bid at each transfer window until we give in or he leaves for free in 2 years. Hope it doesn’t come to that and doubt Sane would want to waste 2 years of his career pissing about.

He 'could' but in reality, would he ever dream of doing so ?

Is there any evidence to suggest Leroy is so unhappy at City & so desperate to play for Bayern, that he would do that ?

The worst that would happen imo, is he plays for two years & then leaves to those wankers on a free.

But if City made him available, Real Madrid would quickly outbid Bayern for him imo & he'd fuck the Germans straight off & go there, no problem.

At the price quoted, in today's market, 20 clubs including Leicester & Everton, would be interested. Sane for the same money as Harry Maguire or Lukaku ? Do me a favour.

Arrogant cheapskate ****s Bayern.

Pep says Sane is here and will stay here. Rummenigge states Pep doesn’t seem to have the knowledge of what is going on. And now both clubs are negotiating. Well, sources are right obviously.

Whatever Sane his decision will be, we will be dealing with the outcome. I don’t want him to leave, especially not to that lot in Munich. If he does, good luck (unless he does go to Munich). If not, great and hopefully shows why he is indeed deserving a starting place.
