I truly hope so.

He's been part of some of the best football i've ever seen, from any team, ever. That Arsenal game where we were 3-0 up by half time, him, Silva and Aguero were just unplayable.

And some of the games where it would go, Ederson > Ferna > KDB > Sane > Goal, in about 5 seconds. Wow, just wow.

True. In some respects, this season could be an important one for Guardiola, as it should be the one that sees him mould ‘his team’ and which sees us become less reliant on both Silva and especially Aguero. I’d much rather we used this season to shape a side where Sane/Jesus/Sterling feature more prominently and Aguero is gently eased towards departure. Not decrying his contribution and continued talent, simply advocating good house management and preparation for the inevitable.

Because their starting offer is €85m, as they’ve reminded us roughly once a day. Expecting them to go from €85m to £120m is not realistic in my opinion. Haven’t we even heard rumblings that the asking price is only £100?
City said they haven't received a bid.

We will never go down the rag route off buying big names, giving them 400k a week and try and make them gel together,i promise you that

Maybe not, but we will have to show flexibility. We've been overtaken before and it'd be naive to think that, with our current policy, we won't be overtaken again. The young upcoming superstars are not going to go cheap over the next few years. We can't miss out on them forever. Look at Joao Felix as an example.

And why sign the prime of your life away to a manager who has issues with you (at best) and who leaves you on the bench, subs you on on 90 minutes and subs you off first. Whilst you're being paid much less than you could earn elsewhere?

Just playing devil's advocate here.

If Pep had played Sané more often, I don't think this thread would exist, he'd have re-signed ages ago.

I agree. it's easy to assume it is just about money, maybe playing time, at his age, matters to him more. he may well be prepared to stay and see how next seadon pans out, regardless of the pressure put on him by both sides. I.e, bsyern wanting him to declate he wants to join, city wanting him to extend.

Sergio is only 31 so none of this gently eased out nonsense.
