Deal agreed with Bayern Munich for Leroy Sane - €60m (including add-ons)

Yep, sense of entitlement they think they just need to flutter their eyelashes and he will come running.

Sane is still a young man, getting to grips with parenthood and now getting to grips with a serious injury. I couldn't blame him for thinking about the prospect of moving back to his country of birth to a club where he will be feted. Time doesn't stand still.

He gave every indication of wanting to move before his injury and possibly before he knew he was going to become a daddy. If he goes, so be it. As a club we'll move on and wish him well, stuff Bayern though.

was mainly talking about before his injury, but he is going to make a full recovery and is still only 23 so would go on to play for munich for another 10 years and more, so work out how much munich value him both on and off the field and with sponsors and media rights and the golden boy of German football, its a blank check they would write having sane playing for them and the market value would double over night for sane if they signed him for £90million from city, they know they are taking the piss with that offer and if sane was a munich player that manchester city wanted you think they would let us sign him on the cheap

something stinks if you ask me and sane wanting to use a germany doctor and medical staff ? and not using the man city medical staff we have always used in Barcelona. the injury and recovery is questioned if they are letting other medical staff do it and who is looking after the whole recovery, is there a deal in place with munich and city and our hands was tied in saying how the whole injury and surgery is done

I guess there is no smoke without fire but re your quote of he will make a full recovery, I think we need to see him playing before we can deduce that

He's absolutely desperate to play at the Euros next year, we do have some leverage should Bayern attempt to low ball us in January.

Sane would have to weigh up sitting on the bench at City until the summer at least. We are under no pressure in January to sell and know more clubs next summer would be in the equation, as do Bayern.

Even if Germany did selected a half-fit Sane for the Euros, his price could rocket if he does anything of note.

With two years left next summer, we would probably hold a whip hand until January 2021.

According to transfermarkt his contract expires June 2021, (ie one year next summer), I have found them generally very reliable with contract stuff.

The talk all summer was he only had 2 years left so 2021 sounds right. Been thinking though if fit how many minutes do we think he would have played so far this season, and at whose expense?
 
We're not selling Sane. I dont think wants to go tbh, there's been no agitation on his part, nothing in the media, just Bayern spouting shite.. I really dont think he is going in January especially!

Fair question. And fingers crossed Mendy is over his injuries and hopefully be able to keep fit and become a top LB/WB. Maybe Pep may see Mendy more as an out and out winger, possibly talking Sane's place, if City sell Sane ?

Don't think either Mendy or Angelino would be used as wingers, but when they play he may prefer Mahrez or Sterling playing more inside. Can't know for sure what would have happened with him fit but not sure he'd have started much so he may have become more unsettled than ever if uninjured.

true but we are so far better dealing with ACL injury than 10 years ago so full recovery should be no problem within the time scales set, will we see the sane of old with outstanding pace and flair and a eye for goal in a city shirt again then maybe that is a question only sane can answer, will munich sign a injured player in the jan window or maybe a loan to view to buy in the summer would be my guess if sane wants out

That is bayerns MO ,they tap up every player publicly,they recently said they stepped away because of sanes wage demands,we still do not know if he is using them for a better deal or if he wants to leave,we DON'T know

The telling thing was that he said absolutely nothing. Usually there’s something that comes out but there was nowt!

I reckon he wanted to have a good start to the season to up his bargaining arm for a better deal with City. I think that’s his priority, to stay with us.

Just a shame that he got injured.
