I think we've got Bayern by the balls. Rumour down here is City can prove that Bayern broke the rules by speaking witn Leroy without our permission. Bayern are scared we'll report them as they could get a transferban as a result. Hence their apologies and their humble pie and off course they have no chance of a lower price. Interesting times. For 135 million I almost wish Leroy would go but on second thoughts fuck Bayern. Let them stew and see how they sort this mess of their own out.

If Sane leaves it gives encouragement to all our competitors , he is a top class player and the fact it is so late in the transfer window it would be virtually impossible to find a player of his quatity , this transfer is dead in the water , the club are not stupid enough to weaken our chances next season. We do not need another £100m sitting in our bank account whilst losing one of the best wingers in europe , nothing to see here.

Spot on. Just as important to make a stand on sales as it is on buys. Don't let anyone take the piss.

He's been saying it for a year because Leroy has been keeping us waiting for a year over a contract renewal.

Leroy is a top talent but Pep is also on record saying that he won't keep any player who doesn't want to be here.

Thing is Karen, this is Manchester City FC 2019, not 2005.

We are the Kings of England and don't need to feel any player is doing us a favour by sticking around.

Stands to reason we would love to keep Leroy around, but it has to be a two-way street.

Liverpool lost Suarez and Coutinho, yet they used that cash to take another step forward.

Pep and the club must feel we can do likewise if we agree to a sale of Leroy.

Good luck to the kid, anyhow. He's brought some great moments.

If we're really desperate for a winger, there's a pretty decent one at Madrid we can get on loan!

Imo, we sell to Bayern, we are actually Man City 2005, or at least Arsenal, when they decided they would become 'comfortable'.

Even if Pep said it's ok to sell to Bayern, I would overrule it if I was in Khaldoon's position.

Do this & imo, Jesus has a great season, or even if he has an 'almost' great season but would like to play more, he's next imo ' loves City but doesn't feel at home in the Manchester weather' etc & so on & on & on.

This is a fork in the road imo, take the wrong path, we are fair game.

That is the worry,a lot hinges on this I 100% agree

I think he will go. Whether that be this week or before their window shuts. Its all about agreeing a fee now. I'm sure they will agree a fee that includes add ons and a sell on clause as Bayern really need him.

I like the way the club are handling this so far. Clear with both Leroy and Munich what they need to do. Its really up to Leroy to make a decision now, there can be only three options:
1. Stay and sign the new contract
2. Stay and run down two seasons (increasingly sidelined in the last season)
3. Confirm to the club you want to leave and club sells to highest bidder over the price they set.

I still think there is a very good chance he will sign his new contract.

That's why I like the stance we appear to be taking. We are going to get players that want to move. But with our current demands we are showing that they will leave on our terms and for a fee that we value them at.

Much depends on the fee for which we would sell. If we sell for 70m, you'd have a point. If we sell for 140m, you'd be silly to overrule and piss Guardiola off. He's smart enough to understand what is good for the team and the club, no?
