People need to take a step back from the situation. Most of this thread is people talking like he's already gone when in reality the facts suggest he's more likely to stay than leave. There's a bit too much unwarranted panic and pessimism.

We know that:
a) Sané won't leave unless he says he wants to leave
b) Sané hasn't said he wants to leave

If two days before the season starts Sané still hasn't indicated he wants to leave this window, will he ever? I doubt it personally. I think he knows he's got it good here.

No use calling him every name under the sun and saying you're not sorry to see him leave when there's still a good chance you'll be watching him every week for the next nine months.

If this was the case, the thread probably wouldn't exist ;)

Even if he gets in a room with Bayern’s reps, it still doesn’t really mean anything.

It’s just negotiations.

Just like he’s negotiated with City to-and-fro, he can add Bayern into that and see what offers he can get from both clubs. Then make his mind up.

The fact he hasn’t been to Pep/Txiki to say he wants to leave tells me he doesn’t want to leave but just wants to see what the offers are and what decision to be made - the biggest of his life - will be made once he knows the score from both clubs.

It is good to see that Leroy hasn’t uttered a peep about this.
He’s like any other footballer, he wants the best financial package etc he can get for his time where he is. There’s nothing wrong with that. I wouldn’t like to see him go, as I think he could be even better under Pep if he commits to a contract extension that suits him and the club. He’s certainly worth his fee at the minute.
If he so desperately wants to leave, we should be looking at £135M minimum.
Let’s hope he starts Sunday, and tears the dippers a new one.

If we lose him, and the Rags sign Maguire, I think it could be fairly said that the pendulum could have swung in the other direction......they will challenge us.
Can someone post the gif of the guy with the thick glasses below this post!

Yesterday we heard Pep say, "If he knocks on my door, and says he wants to leave, then OK we will talk, but nobody has told me that."

The interest / pressure will never be higher than at this moment, so if he's involved against Liverpool, we can be very confident that he will remain a Manchester City player.

I think he will get a great reception from City supporters - assuming he is there.

As far as we know, Sane will leave this summer if the following conditions are fulfilled: he says he wants to leave and Bayern pay 135m. Both conditions might be fulfilled after Sunday. Personally, I don't think that Bayern will pay so much. What they are doing now might be preparing the ground for a January bid when the price would have probably gone down a bit from say 135m to 115m.

I'm just trying to make sense of their actions. It's obvious that Bayern are briefing German media that they are getting him. How could they be so confident? Are they ready to pay 135m? Maybe they think that even if they don't take him now they will have a better chance in January?

Read a bit Bayern forums. It seems that a main source of information is a journalist at Bild called Christian Falk. He has good contacts with Bayern bosses. He shares info in a closed FB group and said there that Bayern are trying to bring down the required fee of 135m. Nothing is decided yet but apparently there are negotiations.

Bayern have been tapping him up, most likely through his family, hoping to persuade him to ask for a move, so.they can get him cheap.

So far, he hasn't gone along with it.

if we accepted a offer I’d assume the player will get a nice chunk of the money in loyalty bonus. But if player askes to leave , that’s putting in a transfer request, meaning he would lose out on any part of the transfer fee and possibly any other bonuses he may be intitled too..
Well played city

German journalists seem convinced that Sane has agreed to join Bayern but what obstructs the move is the high fee we want.
