The only players who could realistically replace his ability at his age are Mbappe and Sancho, end of. Other players who are around 27/28 - Neymar, Salah, Mane, Hazard, at an absolute push Son and Insigne. We would not sign any of these players for less than £150- £200 million.

Who sells a 22 year old world superstar winger for £90 million in this market??? Sane should cost around £150-£175 million and we should not accept under market value for any reason what so ever, especially from this self righteous arrogant club. Why give them bargain of the century because they are Bayern Munich, a club that doesn't nothing but moan and slag us off. If it were me I'd tell them you can pay £225 million or get to fuck.
Sterling would be £160-£180 mill, Sane is a good £30mill below Sterlings level at the moment.

No they don't

Just one.

No newspapers here reporting anything other than that there are no bids.

Bild and Kicker, both reliable German sources are stating the contrary. As is Romano.

Just because the English media hasn't picked anything up yet doesn't mean talks aren't happening.

We're not talking about bids, we're talking about negotiations. The bid comes after this.

Ah right.

Just 'putting a bid together' then.

Where did sancho get this rating from, Sane is on about 3 higher levels and potentially one of the best in the world. Sancho is nowhere near that.

I'm Sane fan and have (or had) high hopes for him. But if Pep decides to sell him, I'd be ok with it. Pep is more importnat than any player and he knows what it takes to build a truly great team. If Sane wants out, sell and move on. City have a marvellous team with legendary achievements already and people like Pep, Txiki, Soriano are the reason why. They know well what is good for the team/club, trust them. Even if they make a mistake with Sane, so what? They are only human. The important thing is they are taking the right decisions most of the time and are building something really spectacular here.

Pep has given enough hints about his perception of the situation, the biggest of them being the comparison with Sancho. Obviously, he reckons that if Sane prefers to go to Bayern, then he should be sold, provided the offer is right. Pep has said numerous times in many presses that he wants happy faces in training. He doesn't want to work with an unhappy player. No one wants to win as much as Pep, if he prefers to sell Sane, trust him, Txiki and the other bosses, they know what they are doing.

Sane might be a great talent but his potential is a bit overstated. He is nowhere near Mbappe's level and the latter is 3 years younger. Sterling and Bernardo are better and have the right attitude. I'm sure Pep rates Foden's talent higher than Sane's. And Foden's work ethic and love for the club is on another level. Foden can become a regular starter soon if and only if Bernardo plays on the right wing. Otherwise, Foden will be no more than a cover for Bernardo and KDB.

Unless Bayern are ****s of course & are going to do this over & over until Leroy signs & new deal or City sell him.

You think this ends when the window shuts then ?

Bayern need another winger. If they don't get Sané, then either their season is fucked, or they get a 2nd choice and he's no longer a big priority.

And on top of their season relying on not getting any injuries, then 9 months is a long time for Leroy to decide to stay or other clubs to decide they're interested.

Media is media, if it was real news it would be all over our papers

Nobody would ever want to leave City so much that they cause trouble, unless they had fights with the management.

Including Leroy Sané.

It's a dream to play in that squad. If you leave, you do so with a thought you may be doing the wrong thing, not with certainty.

Sané would be dropping standards a long way by leaving.
How do you know.
As a Man City fan that would be my view but as a German lad being courted by the biggest team in Germany he may have a different view and see being part of a Munich rebuild to glory vision as something he wants. Who the fuck knows but his silence speaks louder than words

If Sané is one of the best in the world then why can't he get off our bench?

Sancho is better now and has a more rounded game, than Sané & Stelring was at the same age anyone who thinks otherwise has spent far too long being bitter about him leaving. Will he get as good as Sané? I don't know, but I do know that Sané is frequently nowhere near his best level so it's not all that relevant.

I want Sané to stay, but I think a lot of City fans have a tendency to completely forget that he's at the "potentially world class" level about 1 in 3 games and that's why Pep isn't playing him, and is seemingly OK selling him.

So, 70 mil & tell Bayern to fuck off, is well worth it.

If we had put him up for auction in May, then we would get the highest price.

And we will have to pay more than 80 mil, for any kind of replacement even close to his level.
I’m sure the accountants share your view.

Yes, great idea, that.

Lets risk going into the season with 1 fit winger just incase City a)Decide to sell to us after their window has shut and B) we might possibly play each other.

What is this paranoid bullshit?
Calm down domino. not paranoid, I just think Bayern are c**ts and will very likely bid when our windows shuts. or do you think they have too much respect for City to do that?

Exactly. And with no sign of another centre half coming I would be shocked if City were to sanction the sale of Sane now with no replacement. Wouldnt exactly be setting up to 'challenge on all fronts'.
That depends on whether Pep sees potential in some of the youngsters stepping up to the plate. It’s what we all want to see.
If Sané is set on this move and doesn’t get it, we will not be seeing Sane of old on the pitch.

Various sources suggest otherwise.

The only thing we've heard from a reliable City source today is that they haven't made an official offer, that doesn't mean that they aren't about to and are currently in negotiations with the club and or player.

You can bury your head in the sand about this mate, but something is afoot. Sane may well still be with us next season, but there's also a good chance he isn't.

I think what has happened is that at the end of the season Sane via his agent has said that given he hasn't played that much he would like to move to BM if they come in as he believes he would get more game time there (and it is back home Gemany obvs). He won't sign a new contract on that basis this summer. This is not a player demanding to leave - its a fairly standard position that players/agents get to, we are in the same place with Otamendi and Danilo but without the new offers on the table as we are happy to let them go.

But the club response with Sane has been - he is a top young player and we want him to stay - there is a whopper contract on offer and we wont sell unless we get an offer in line with the valuation (a big number - way more than BM want to spend).

So stale mate and nothing has changed all summer, Sane has known this is the case. It will be the same next summer but if your Sane do you take the money now as you never know or do you wait out and leave next year when the valuation falls in line with what BM can probably pay. This stuff goes on all the time.

They have another month to get a winger in.

And your 2nd point EXACTLY.

City can invite other clubs to bid, rather than selling to the first bidder & becoming Arsenal.

Or Leroy can sign a new deal. Both much better situations.

His silence!!??

He is in the middle of contract negotiations & being courted by the biggest club in Germany.

His best option is to shut the fuck up!
