Isn’t bale on 600k a week???

Not sure, even if subsidised, that they will get anywhere near that

Brinkmanship, he’s the only available alternative to throw into the mix, doubt we’ll be falling for it!

Zidane doesn't like Bale, if he goes he wants him out permanently.

Zidane doesnt care if he is gone permanently he just doesnt want to have to deal with the issue every press conference.

If Madrid wanted Bale gone he would he in China now. It was Perez who pulled the plug on that.

Zidane might not even survive the season, no point selling your soul to get rid of Bale, Mourinho might quite like him when he takes over.

Also no point anyone taking Bale on loan. 500k a week for a 30 year old cripple? No chance.

As decmancity said, this is now going off topic, but my last word is Perez and Zidane won't see eye to eye over that and if Zidane actually keeps his job he won't want Bale stinking the place out for him.

Unless I misread it, the 'news' about Sané telling teammates he wanted to leave came from Ronan Murphy at The Athletic, and not Sam Lee. And Sam Lee's references to signing a CB stated it would seemingly be dependent on Otamendi leaving.

Anyway, Ziyech was rumoured to have a low release clause wasn't he? If he goes, will Ajax have anyone left!

Have we reported the arrogant German rags to UEFA for tapping up Sane yet? If not I don’t understand why we haven’t. Had we behaved like they have a disciplinary case would have been opened by now. Yes I know the rules are different for the European elite but don’t we need to make a complaint to get it investigated. If we don’t report them then they could be doing the same with Gundo next season

My view is stick to our €137m valuation or Sane stays - behave in the same way Leicester did with both Mahrez and Maguire - if he stays and they come back in January add a few million on to the valuation.

Just thought, if Sané leaves we can keep Mangala as our 17th non-homegrown player and ‘solve’ our centre back shortage haha! Get in!

Come on Leroy, do the right thing.

FREE MANGALA!

This is going to rumble on for a while guys.

We aren't replacing him, so the Thursday deadline means sod all. This will go on until the end of the month.

I think they will crack and pay.

I think they will too - circa £130m and they will bitch and moan for months about how we rinsed them and how we are ruining football - oh the irony.

If Sane does leave, even after the deadline, there is a man who we can now call upon on a free transfer...

A man who has won the Champions League twice....

A man with Premier League experience....

A man who Pep nurtured as a youngster....

I give you..

Bojan.

Just been released by Stoke.

I have never known a transfer story to be so inaccurately reported so I am not confident of my opinion, but I believe that he will stay on the grounds that he does not have a strong desire to leave. He returned to training, went on tour, played all the games, played in the Community Shield, and has said nothing, unless Pep is misleading us all.

The contract extension is unsigned, but that does not mean he wants to go to Bayern Munich. I think Leroy knows that if he went to Bayern Munich he would be under intense pessure to lift that football club from its current malaise. They have let things go too far. Robben and Ribery were allowed to play too long. Likewise Muller and Boateng. This is a football squad that has gone way past its sell by date. It's not a good time to move there. At City he is free to develop to his potential. He may not play every game, but he will have enough opportunities if he remains focused on his game.

It's probably been mentioned previously but I wonder what came first, Leroy being benched or Leroy being tapped up?

I think the tapping up started when he first arrived and Bayern originally missed out on him. They see him as their property and I think they always intended to take what they rightly think is theirs. Remember their mentality is that they can take whomever they want in the Bundesliga. A lot of the arrogance we see at European level comes from teams who dictate the terms in their domestic leagues - Bayern, Juve, Barca/ Real.
