The transfer market will collapse after this virus subsides. No clubs will be spending much. The only players leaving will be those whose contracts have expired. The broadcasters and most sponsors will simply not have the money to fund football at previous levels and even if they did would not risk the reputational damage they would suffer from the public as the world goes through a huge recession.
I think the football bubble has been burst by this crisis and the sport will be totally different moving forward. I am not sure yet if this is positive or negative for City's business model. One thing's for certain it will be disastrous for those clubs carrying huge debts like Unted, Barca, and Real Madrid.
The hole bubble of economics will collapse if this situations carries on much longer.

This will be a reality check for the whole world, never mind the parallel universe of the major football clubs.

pub quiz in the year 2046 - Who won the last ever football premier league title in England ?

I would be furious if we let him go now, after all the treatment and support from our great club he has had to bring him back as potentially playing again, the work our medics, and support staff have given, if he went i would tell him to fuck off as it shows complete disrespect to our club, staff, supporters
Hasn’t he spent more time with the German national team doctors than ours?

.

I can certainly see your logic - I'm not sure that things will map out to that degree but, yes, I do think that you're on to it. In future there may be a spacing requirement so that less people are allowed in a given space - maybe stadiums will hold less supporters(|?) Match day revenues may dip slightly (|cheap seats will be lost), TV revenues should remain constant as impact on general team sports should have parity.
Being part of a crowd will certainly be less attractive!

Well Bayern have announced that they are stopping all transfer activities for an undefined time so I guess Leroy will not sign for them anytime soon.

Actually Bayern has more important contract activities to do than new transfers. Contract renewals for key players like Neuer, Müller, Thiago and Alaba are more important. After that there is a big question mark right now how the transfer market and the whole money situation looks like in two or three months...

Neuer? And Müller? They must be nearly ready for their free bus passes at this stage.

Müller is 30 - missed about 10 matches because of injuries or illnesses in his career and does not rely on strengths that can be connected to age. With the right coaches he performs!

And goalkeepers do not stop with 34.

If they allow owners to put money in I have a feeling we will be in a far better position than Munich, this might focus teams thoughts on huge wages, Bayern might nit be able to better our offer after this.

Neuer is a no brainier although his agent seems to be sounding out Premier League clubs - so obviously looking to leverage a deal. Whilst I agree that Mueller never had pace to lose - renewing 30 year olds contracts is always tough. He and his agent will want 4 years and Bayern will want to do 2 - so sometimes these are really tough negotiations because it’s effectively the players last contract. I guess the thing in Bayern’s favour is that Mueller may want to stay in the Bayern family after he stops playing - so you can see him wanting to do his coaching badges etc. at the club in familiar surroundings.
