I feel like we haven't seen enough of sane to be OK with him leaving, I wish the lad all the best with his career as he's a top class player with endless potential but it would have been fantastic to see him meet that potential at City, never mind bayern, worst club he could have left for outside of England.

Imagine how unfortunate it would be if he hurt himself again in training in the final weeks of his contract.

I'm not sure the German Rag's are going to get the best out of Leroy.

Expectations will be so high (on both sides), and if things don't go his way early doors he'll sulk. I just don't think he has the temperament to knuckle down when it's going against him.

Take the 40mill and let him go

agreed. Unfortunately, I think that’s about as good as it’s going to get! Take the money and use it towards a CB or Leroy replacement. No point in getting nothing for him imo, doesn’t piss Bayern off , just allows them to not spend anything on him next summer as he only wants them. Better of getting £40m now , especially with the pandemic economy and moving on.

I would say accept £50m or we just keep him (and play him) for 12 months. He is worth more to us on the field than £40m. It's up to Bayern now. Keeping them hanging on is not a bad thing.

I agree, plenty players have given their all in their last seasons at a club, worth more than 40m for a season, and it is well below the valuation. Besides, Bayern have to actuslly offer 40m first!

If i had a pound for every time i pointed out that bayern have to actually make an offer for something to happen, i could probably make up the difference in valuation to send the lad off.

I'd drop him from the squad, put him with the EDS and let him train with them, but on the bench every game so he has to travel every game but doesn't get a minute of actual football.

Either Bayern pay up or he doesn't play a single minute of football till Euro 2021, that will be his problem.
That approach would be disruptive for City. We would have to face relentless media stories and it would upset some of the other players. For me, the only solution is sell him for the right price.....or play him. Sane needs to prove himself to the German manager. It's a decison for Bayern. Put up or shut up.

That’s a very Liverpool type attitude and doesn’t send a great message to potential signings. Depends how he is acting. He seems happy enough. If he’s fine then use him when we need him. He might be here another year yet.

I don't agree, if Pep creates an "you want to be here, you get to play" mentality then I don't see too much of an issue. I don't see why we should help his national team aspirations when he's not willing to commit to the club. If he wants to leave fine, let him put pressure on Bayern to pay up knowing he'll be going into a Euros year not playing a single minute. I don't see why he should get a free ride at our expense.
