Absolutely packed before, hope everyone got to the legend eventually. They didn't expect that turnout.

There was a chap of about 60 acting like a kid at Christmas, it moved the mrs to tears.

(I did write a longer, more emotional reply to this, but IE crashed...)

We got our books signed at 3:15pm (he should have been at the Trafford Centre at 3pm), and he was as polite, considerate and chatty to us as if we were the first people in the queue. He was fantastic. I thanked him for waiting for us, and he stopped signing and said "oh no, I wouldn't have gone, if people were here, I will always stay".

Humbling to meet him, again.

It says a lot that people queued for so long to meet him (Especially Ticket for Shalke who was about the pass out after queing so long) 50 years after he stopped playing.

A special human being, and we're honoured to be able to still be in his presence.

me and my mate were last in queue, bought our books at 12 15 and thought,oh this is a bit of a queue lets get a pint and come back at 2 and get it signed,at 2 they were queueing along deansgate,so lets get a pint and come back,2.40 no more allowed to join queue but could show we had bought books earlier and they relented,pr lot were saying no pictures etc,but when we finally got to the front Bert was a gent, patient and polite and happy to have picture taken.
His writing was also about 100% better than mine after signing so many autograghs(not that i would sign one).
