Dear Lurkers...

I am not a frequent poster, but I lurk a lot and like to watch things unfold in certain threads and such, first game was Chelsea at Maine Road around 95, was a draw, IIRC. So, here's my five pence.

It's a Barm, a Muffin is a Cake.

I like Balotelli a lot. Gets a lot of undeserved grief, but doesn't help himself.

Always liked Mancini. Certainly much more than Agent Hughes.

Michelle Keegan, well, who wouldn't?

Van Persie, I want nowhere near this club, but in the event of him turning up, I'll support him as I do any other City Player.

Salford, it always disheartens me to see the amount of abuse Salford gets, being I was born here and whilst I agree it's full of Rags, it's also got a contingent of Blues. If someone from Weaste which is seriously, Rag Central, can be a blue, well, so can anyone!

Don't abbreviate the following:

(In formal academic prose it is considered bad form to abbreviate words simply to save space, time, or energy.)

Words such as through (thru), night (nite).
Days of the week or months of the year (in the normal flow of text).
Words at the beginning of a sentence.
People's names such as Chas. (for Charles) or Jas. (for James), unless those abbreviations have come to be accepted as nicknames for those particular individuals.
States' names such as Mass. (for Massachusetts) or Conn. (for Connecticut). When appropriate (as in the addresses for envelopes), use the U.S. postal service's approved two-letter abbreviations: MA, CT (without periods).
Courses such as econ (for economics) or poli sci (for political science).

Haha, yeah i don't give two hoots really about spelling as long as i can understand what they are saying.

If i was writing a letter to the Queen then fine but every single word on a forum i think gets over analyzed sometimes.

Which cockwomble posted that hahahahahahaha academic form and the cellar do not go in the same sentence.

That's a paddlin (cwhutididthar).

Is there a specific post count that you have to reach before you are no longer considered a lurker?
I still have relatively few posts compared to the length of time I've been a member but I have made a conscientious effort to try to become more involved of late (I would guess that 80 or 90% of my 366 posts have been in the past 12 months). I do try to steer clear of any of the controversial subjects that I know will lead to the inevitable arguments (religion, politics, bread related products etc) but these last few weeks have shown me that there isnt really anything to 'hide' from so I will continue to try to immerse myself further into the Bluemoon family if thats OK.

This one is epic, a classic.
Sheer genius, and it's good all the way to the very end.

Oh, someone please tell me it's bullshit about popcorn cat being retired. I will be fucking gutted as he made me giggle every single time he was posted (in fact, I'm sure you (TCIB) posted him on a few occasions?)
