Dear Vincent

You shouldn't lose respect for a guy because he is trying to advance his career. You are being a bit harsh.

Furthermore, if he is able to win any kind of trophy at Spurs then you know he can likely hack this job.
I guess you are right..but not Spurs..hate them passionately, just below rags and scousers and perhaps sorry for that approach. Stitched over by that club too many times..just emotion. And Bellamy is a big part in that team too. Kind of get the Mercer Allison vibe.

I don’t think he would make a fortune. Levy makes his players and managers get easyJet flights, and while they paid Conte a ton, I suspect Levy has no appetite for repeating that given how badly it went and how difficult it made firing him.

Besides, Vinny probably earned close to £100m in his career he’s unlikely to be motivated by the kind of money spurs have.

For him to have made £100m in his career, we would have had to have paid him £192k per week on average over his 10 years with us. We signed him when John Wardle was bailing us out and our Thai Chairman was on the run!!!!

Vinny has got a few bob, but he has not earnt £100m!

Maybe (ok very long shot I know), he could help us get our first win in that cursed stadium - or at least a goal. Ex u*d players seem to manage it with them!!

Dear Daniel

My price is £100m a season and a
Transfer budget to match… I will absolutely refuse to negotiate on that deal - like you did with Kane

Cough up or shut up

Best regards
Vincent

What if Vinny went and improved Spurs? Not Too much, but just enough ti beat Utd, Toon, Liverpool and the Ar$e home and away, thus taking points off top 4 teams... and allowing another cracking at the Centurions position for City?

Cash in.

And I'm sure for that 1 month his future earning prospects looked worrying.

He'd have been earning near that amount from the contract he signed in summer 2012 and would have ended up on more by 2019, not to mention the other 9 years of his career, his endorsements as Belgium captain, boot deals, image rights etc.

Hopefully Vinny is refusing to take Levy's calls.
Personally i don't really mind as all the top premier league jobs are disliked rivals, bar maybe newcastle for now.
Even if he is successful i'm pretty much sure he'd ditch any of them to manage us once the time is right.
My preference would be for him to stay at Burnley and establish them as a place southern teams don't like to visit.

I'm honestly not being awkward mate but he signed for us when he was 22 and retired with, so his other nine years started when he was 13?

He would not have been on £190k in 2012. for comparison Diaz is apparently on £180k a week now and Stones is on £200k a week. we were not paying Kompany £190k a week 11 years ago

Tough one this.

On one hand I get a feel of the Potters about it. It just doesn’t feel like a good fit.

On the other hand though if Kompany is to prove himself worthy of succeeding Pep, he has to do more than what he’s likely to be able to do with Burnley.

He would need testing at a bigger club before coming here - a steppingstone if you will. I just don’t know if Spurs is that steppingstone.

Levy will expect an instant turnaround of results with Vinny but it rarely works like that. His only expectation at Burnley this season was to steady the ship and stop it from sinking into the Division One. What he and Bellamy have done there is almost miraculous considering most of Burnley's best players jumped ship.

Going to Spurs may be tempting for Vinny but i very much doubt he'll accept Spurs poisoned chalice as he's too smart to possibly undo all the good work he's done thus far at Burnley. Kompany is far too ambitious to stay around too long at Burnley and the club and fans know that, but i think Vinny will be Burnley's manager for another season or two as he'll want to leave them in mid table comfort in the PL. And when he does leave them he'll want to walk out of their door with his head held high.
