Debt Collection Baliffs - To ignore or to pay

ACI. The company they’re saying I took a loan out with are Myjar Ltd.

I emailed ACI back to say ‘I have never even heard of Myjar Ltd. never mind taken a loan out for £275 with them’.

The ACI email address seemed an odd one, it was something like 9211145673@aciuk.co.uk
Payday loan company you wasn’t skint one day after a few and took one out was you ,they can only pay it into an account in your name so check with the bank see if the money went in

I have received an email from a company saying they are acting behalf of another company asking me to repay money for a loan I supposedly took out in 2017.

I have never heard of either of these companies and never took out the loan they are saying I did.

I’ve tried looking online but the only information and advice I can find is more related to dealing with companies pressuring people to take out a loan rather than my situation.

I have emailed them back saying that I never took out that loan and they haven’t got back to me. I find it strange that they emailed me rather than sent a letter.

I have an account with Clear Score and my credit score is excellent and on my account with them it shows I’ve never missed a payment on anything.

Is there anyone I should speak to about this? Or should I just ignore and block them? Any advice would be appreciated!
I would ask them to prove the debt mate. If you go on Legal Beagles website there's a bunch of templates for this.

The onus is on them to prove you owe the funds.

That’s looks almost certainly a scam email account. You are likely to be dealing with someone based in Lagos or Mumbai.

Myjar Ltd went into administration in 2020.

As I said earlier, even if you had a debt it would soon be unenforceable. So best to ignore and do nothing.

Don’t ever email anyone claiming that you have a debt, they need to evidence effective service. Email is not a valid method. Postal or court service delivered letters are.

Never communicate with companies when you are so close to the expiry of the relevant claim period (6 years) . You will start the clock again by sending them correspondence back.

That’s never genuine.

Parks where he can't be seen by ANPR cameras, covers his plates so his number can't be read when he drives in to park illegally. If they have video evidence of him doing this every day, they could easily catch him at it and bring fine against him.

I didn't see the date.

Yes they become statute barred after 6 years anyway so legally unenforceable.
