Declan Rice

I imagine Phillips will train on, or at least we'll give him a chance too.

So not including Gundo and Bernardo, we will have,
Rodri, Phillips, Kovacic, Kevin, Foden, Alvarez, Haaland, Mahrez and Grealish for the front 6.
Kovacic covers a few bases so don't think we need to buy Rice, especially if you factor in Stones.
The attacking midfield looks light and we need a new wide player even if Mahrez stays.
Shouldn't we also add McAtee to that lineup (assuming Palmer is going out on loan)?

Of course we should.
But say KDB is out and Foden too with an injury, not sure he'd go with Rodri, Kovacic and McAtee.
A lot depends on how we are going to use Alvarez.

West Ham are never accepting anything under £100m so I don’t see why they are bidding £90m. He ain’t gonna try and push for a move aswell cause he lives the club too much.

Yes indeed. If all of sudden he becomes shithot makes a mockery paying around 100m for either of those 2 spoken about! Thought Kalvin was done but reckon Pep will get more satisfaction by preventing a big buy failure and burning 100m on someone else of similar traits

We might not need to buy rice - but a perfect Pep player and made of the right stuff for MCFC. Weve got the dosh (300m without sales) so why not plan for the future with the best we can get at the moment?
Rice would give us so many option as well as the double pivot with Rodri.
IF Rodri gets long term injury- what then?
I still think he’ll end up at Arsenal, but I’d take him here if we could.

Is it just me who thinks he isn't that good?

He's a solid enough premier league player no doubt but when he's played for England against actual high level opponents, he is nowhere to be seen and that can't happen in the position he plays.

I mean, if he comes here I'd love to be proven wrong, but I think he will be found out at our level. I said the same when we signed Phillips too and it seems evident he's come and then not been fancied.

From reports we are more than happy for Phillips to leave, he is the problem.

Tolm said on another thread that lampard is coming back. So that’s frank and Kavlin in the middle.

Maybe we will now try and win the league with a legends team? Pep does like a challenge -:)
He is gonna win the treble next year with the youth team
That’s why we’re selling the whole team
