This wins the forum, forever.
Excited to see who we go for now. Delighted we pushed the Arse to waste an extra £20m.
They're now the highest spenders of the last 5 years and within touching distance of the top spenders of the biggest spenders over the last 10 years. Anything other than a league win or champions league win for them next year isn't good enough reallyArteta HAS to win something now, and i don't mean a domestic cup. They are backing him big time here, and it's fair enough because he turned them around last season, but it means he has to deliver.
Are you fishing or do you genuinely mean this?? the only person that decided Gundy was going was Gundy. Arsenal are desperate for Rice - we aren't. Arsenal are spending more than they can...they'll have problems.Wonder how pep must feel right now. Lost out on top target bellingham to madrid, strongly wanted gundo to stay which would've negated the need for rice and not prompted us to come into the bidding race but got overriden by the board. And now lost out on rice which was his bellingham alternative to Arsenal.
EXACTLYI said on here a few days ago "If we get Declan Rice so be it, If not we move on".
We've been incredible in the transfer market over the last 10 years plus but especially since Pep has arrived.
We have a valuation on a player and that's it, We won't be taken for mugs. £105 million for Declan Rice, Ludicrous.
He wasn't 'right'. He guessed. He had a 50/50 chance of being right. Just turns out he was a pessimist rather than an optimist. Far too many people trying to get on the itk bandwagon recently.People will always forgive you for being wrong. But no-one will forgive you for being right.
Smartarse :)
We can't keep relying on him to "weave his magic", though. It doesn't set a good precedent if we want him to stay past his current deal.We will struggle to get another quality midfielder in this window… probably best to leave it. Everyone knows we are on plan C so the negotiations will be a nightmare. I think we need some new energy in the side - there will be a drop off from the players who gave everything last season in the first few months and I doubt we will see KDB until late October. Pep will need to weave his magic.
City look a bit silly here imo
Some people still playing football manager. We know how to deal with idiots like Sullivan - Gunners have fallen for itYeah totally dampens our treble celebrations this, not sure how we will cope with the embarassment and having to live with looking silly for not going over our 90m valuation. Oh the shame!
Na im being honest. It's been widely reported that gundo wanted 2+1 and city were offering 1+1. Pep really wanted gundo to sign which obviously didn't happen due to the clubs policy of not offering longer deals to older players. Sam lee in his article said that declan rice was part of the players requested by pep along with kovacic and gvardiol. Are you fishing or do you genuinely mean this?? the only person that decided Gundy was going was Gundy. Arsenal are desperate for Rice - we aren't. Arsenal are spending more than they can...they'll have problems.
Pep and our owners have a great relationship and Pep will not be feeling anything but trust that club does what is best for the club
You really make yourself look like a secretly gloating rag

We would have looked silly matching the bid only for Rice to choose Arsenal.Yeah totally dampens our treble celebrations this, not sure how we will cope with the embarassment and having to live with looking silly for not going over our 90m valuation. Oh the shame!
