Declan Rice

Now THIS is more a City style signing! Viega & Güler would suit me just fine.

With Kovacic now a City player at £30m replacing Dog, if we can sort out Alphonso Davies at LB, Gvardiol if Laporté leaves, Güler/Dominik Szoboszlai, a rapid left winger & move Grealish inside, I'd be fuckin made up with this window!

We could get Kova, Viega, Güler & Szoboszlai for £20m more than Arsenal paid for Rice! I rare Rice, but I know which I'd prefer! :-)

He certainly looks good in Blue!

He's bigger than I imagined, I like his body shape, really strong legs. Perhaps doesn't have the pace to run away from people, but he has decent technique.

Arsenal have a very strange fanbase on twitter. They speak a language I don't understand and their spelling is atrocious. Just a random observation!

I have a little question...

If Arsenal finally signs Rice for £110 millions, will all the media and basically everyone call them state club and criticise them for spending too much money and still not winning the Champions League?
No they need to spend that much to compete with filthy rich City with their huge squad of 2 sets of world class 11’s : )

Whilst we all have our views not sure i agree with that. Yes we look a better proposition for the next couple of years. But that statement just sounds incredibly arrogant to me. People do strange things. I mean who would have thought that Tevez would have left the rags for us?
Arsenal have not won the league for 20 years. So it depends on what you mean by big club.

If you are talking historical before 92 then what about Nottingham Forrest for example or Aston Villa Are they not big clubs?

Currently City and Maybe Liverpool could claim big club title based on the silverware won over the last ten years.

Arsenal are just another club with money due to the premier leagues commercial power. I don’t understand the argument of big club.

By your logic, every team that has won in the past is a big club.

No player in world football would choose Arsenal over City. "Huge club" is fan talk.
I'm not so sure. For a start, even rich footballers have family lives.

I was living in London when I had my first child, and everyone we knew from ante-natal classes ended up moving nearer to their parents within 2-3 years. Being around family, and having that support, is really important if you've just had a baby. Being rich might mean he can travel more easily, pay for help, or move family, but it's not the same as being close to "home".

He may also look at Arsenal last year, where they really did have a great chance of winning the title, and think that being part of a team that wins their first title in twenty years would be a big achievement. Coming to City might be the nearest thing to a guarantee of medals, but there's still a huge pull to go and be there at the start of something.

Now now children

He's very KDB-esque in his gait & style. He's got pace & strength, & whilst he's no Kyle Walker (but then who is), he seems to rely more of his footballing brain which more than makes up for not being Walker fast.

Hopefully we can land this kid, Kova, Güler & Szoboszlai for £20m more than it'll cost Arsenal to land Rice!

Well played Txiki! Arse are looking at paying £35m more than their original bid for Rice because our matching bid spooked em! Lol :-)

Would've loved Guler but his dad's asking for 18 million in commission apparently

Now we are talking! Hopefully, we are not resting on laurels just because we won the treble, though. I rate Kovacic, and sure as hell, I rate Gvardiol, but we need to keep evolving and work on getting better, because that's exactly what our competition will do.

Big clubs now should mean 20 years trophy haul a generation! Because clubs like Liverpool the rags got the massive club mantel from being at the top for 20 years winning everything! We have had around 12 years..

What Daddy's asking & what he can realistically expect to get are two different things!

Am I right in saying Güler has a £15m release clause?

If so, I'm pretty sure a £25m deal, with £5m in add-ons to Daddy would be acceptable.

If Bernardo really does sign an extension, we need to be planning for the future, not the next two seasons. That's where Haaland's good mate Szoboszlai comes in, with Güler & Viega.

Good young players with huge potential, who'll have time to bed in before we start considering replacing Mahrez & KDB.

The rags didn't really want him if I recall and was probably pussed off. As we found out later he is a bit of a funny fish.
