Defensive midfielder

I remember seeing Liverpool were sniffing around Tchouameni at Real. Whenever I've seen him play I've been impressed and he seems to put a shift in and us quick. If he's available I think he would be a great signing for us and give us some pace and power in midfield.

Real bought him for 100 million, they won't sell for less than that

They may do - if they sell him they can book the money on the accounts which will free up more money to spend on buying players die to the way amortization works.

Good players aren't cheap though. He's a load of experience with Real and in the CL as well. If Liverpool were sniffing around him it sounds like they might be up for letting him go. he's also exactly the type of player Liverpool would sign - fast, energetic and can play.
 
I still think we should invest in Baleba.

Might be incredibly difficult to prize out of Brighton but he's got all the tools we need.

He can play our style, good in and out of possession, he's quick/strong, reads the game well and scores from outside the box.

Pep and Rodri could help turn him into one of the best in the PL.

There’s a lad called Rico Lewis. Don’t think he will cost much. He’s only 20 has forced his way in to his club side and his international side. His club side is managed by one of the best managers in the world so just maybe the lad has potential…. I think we should go for him. It may cost us a game now and again but in the long run he will be great value against most alternatives.

The interest was there though and I’m sure the club thought they could get him cheaper than the clause until the shenanigans started between clubs for lesser players at high fees? Pep may know about the reported release clause and specifically asked Khaldoon to do it he signed on again?
 
Guimaraes is a superb player who would be absolutely top class under Pep. He has a magnificent pass on him and great feet. I'd love to see him here.

Saw this and immediately thought, there is no such player, and that Pep was going to get a wig, or a David weave, and get his boots out again!
