Defining moment that turned this season around?

Absolutely! I had a boiled ham muffin the minute before we scored at Southampton. Just bloody knew we'd score soon after I spread the butter on, and I could lip read some of the players mentioning that that FOC from CBL3 has given us the magic moment.

Spit must read these post he's just done analyst on gundogan moving forwatd as full backs move into midfield, and this reason city improved

The signing of Dias and change in tactics , using Cancelo in midfield when we have the ball and right back when we are defending , a tactical masterstroke , releasing Gundogan to attack and create , the team have bought into the system and the opposition do not know how to combat our system. No matter who gets injured we have players to cover and fit into our style of play, this team could develop to be the best Pep has created in is tenure

This post was meant to be in the 'dullest football since pearce' thread but soon as thought it's been removed i'll post it here.

Not sure why people are saying people need to be ashamed of there comments made earlier in the season.

The facts are the football produced after the first 10 games or so wasn't good enough nor were the results- Pep admitted as much himself !

This got called out on here by loads of people and in the media elsewhere and rightly so.

People on there high horse saying people look stupid in hindsight are fools. You call it as you see it.

Pep and the boys deserve a huge amount of credit for the turn around this season and i for one and more than happy Pep has proven me wrong.

I was just responding in there as a post of mine had been singled out. I'll trim my reply to suit this thread.

The team selections were the problem in my opinion, both the personnel selected and the role we were asking them to play. Pep was insisting with the same formation which wasn't working. Our recent run has coincided with:

*No longer playing 2 holding midfielders.
*Playing right footed players on the right and left on the left.
*Having a centre half pairing consistently playing together rather than a perm any 2 from 5 approach.
*Realising that Mendy and Garcia are not good enough.
* The revised setup allowing us to get the best out of Cancelo.
